Bass Lake Resort & RV Campgrounds New York Introduce

For New York residents looking to escape the daily grind and immerse themselves in the natural beauty of the Empire State, Bass Lake Resort & RV Campgrounds offers an expansive and well-appointed retreat. Spanning over 244 acres in the scenic landscape of Oswego County, this resort is more than just a place to park an RV; it is a comprehensive outdoor destination designed for families, adventurers, and those seeking a peaceful lakeside atmosphere. Managed as part of the Travel Resorts of America network, Bass Lake Resort has been a staple of Central New York camping since 1987, fostering a close-knit community of members and visitors who return season after season to enjoy its private waters and lush woodlands.

The resort is centered around a stunning 30-acre private lake, which serves as the heart of all recreational activity. Unlike many public campgrounds that can feel crowded or transient, Bass Lake Resort prides itself on its secure, gated environment and a "member-based" model that creates a neighborhood feel among campers. From the perspective of a local user, the resort provides a perfect balance between the ruggedness of traditional camping and the convenience of modern resort amenities. Whether you are looking to teach your children how to fish, enjoy a quiet afternoon on a nature trail, or participate in organized community events, this Parish-based resort offers a versatile backdrop for creating lifelong memories.

Location and accessibility are among the top reasons New Yorkers choose Bass Lake Resort. Situated at 132 Crim Rd, Parish, NY 13131, the resort is strategically located in the heart of Central New York, making it an easy drive for residents from several major metropolitan areas. It is approximately 30 minutes north of Syracuse and 45 minutes south of Watertown, while travelers from Rochester or Utica can reach the gates in about an hour. This central location makes it an ideal home base for exploring the broader region, including the world-famous Salmon River in Pulaski and the eastern shores of Lake Ontario. For those with mobility considerations, the resort is designed to be inclusive, featuring wheelchair-accessible entrances, parking areas, and restrooms to ensure all guests can navigate the common areas with ease.

The services offered at Bass Lake Resort & RV Campgrounds are extensive, reflecting its status as a premier RV destination. The facility caters heavily to the modern RV traveler, providing high-quality infrastructure that supports both short-term stays and seasonal living. Beyond the technical hookups, the resort provides a variety of on-site services aimed at making the camping experience as seamless as possible. From a dedicated camp store for essentials to professional property management that ensures the grounds remain clean and safe, the service model here is focused on guest satisfaction and community comfort.

  • Full RV hookup sites including water, sewer, and electric (20/30/50 Amp service) for a hassle-free stay.
  • Cozy cabin rentals for those who prefer the comforts of a roof and air conditioning over a tent or trailer.
  • Individual tent sites located in picturesque areas for traditionalists seeking a closer connection to nature.
  • On-site dining at the resort’s Cafe & Bar, featuring homemade meals and a popular Sunday morning breakfast buffet.

Before we arrived I read many reviews saying that this place was run down and the people were miserable. This was NOT the case for us. The employees were very friendly and the campground itself was well kept and the perfect amount of children laughing and quiet. Any dogs barking were at a minimum and not at all bothering. Kids playing on the playground and at the pool we're not overly loud. Maybe I got lucky but I have nothing negative to say about the place. We did a 1 hour tour where they do try to sell you a "membership" that was a bit expensive but to others it might be a good deal. When we broke down the numbers and told them it wasn't for us they were not mad about it like many reviews stated. They basically told us "it's not for everyone and we hope you enjoy your stay". The negative reviews had me on edge about this place but after coming here I realized they were either way off or that was an off chance that something bad happened. We've been very happy with all aspects of this place so far.

We “won” a 3-day, 2-night stay, which was nothing more than a pathetic sales trap. The entire pitch was them begging us to drop $17,500 on a “membership” that gives you… absolutely nothing worth having. You still have to pay $200 a night to stay in their crappy little cabins with AC units that belong in a junkyard, eat in a restaurant that smells like sewage, and maybe take a dip in their disgusting “heated pool” that looks more like a swamp than a place for people. The funniest part? They kept bragging that they’re “better than public camping sites.” Oh please. At least public campgrounds don’t try to scam you out of $17k while offering the same (or actually better) experience. Here, you get no security (the gate is literally lifted by hand like a cheap carnival ride), no background checks on members (so you never know what kind of creep you’re next to), and “amenities” that are nothing but sad jokes. So congratulations to this place — they’ve managed to create the world’s most overpriced, trashy campground. Public sites are cheaper, safer, and cleaner. These people are basically asking you to light $17,000 on fire for the privilege of being ripped off. What a scam. What a joke

Easily one of the worst places I have ever been to.They are very pushy about their packages between $10,000 - $17,500 one time and ofcourse $500-$1000 maintenance fees (which barely seems to be done). They have been pushing us for a year and we just kept saying no. This last time we "won" a free 7day/6night stay in a cabin. We left within 24 hours. And after the tours you see these beautiful looking cabins inside and out. But once you accept the offer of "free" and get there you are put into a dumpy trailer that has many issues. Floors coming apart. Ac barely works. Rock style bed. Very small and not nice at all. And its valued at $200/night on top of those membership fees. Cell service is barely existent, they advertise wifi in the park but doesn't work at that end apparently. The staff is awesome. Every member I talked to is very nice and helpful.Save your money and run(don't walk) away from here.

We were givin a free weekend with our new camper and little did we know it is a time share resort.. they'll tell you it's not but it's a lie. They tried to sell as a $15k time share and I was upset. We came to camp as a family for the first time and they ruined a whole day of much needed family time. The showers are awful and the sites are packed in like no other camp site. Beware!!!!!!

★☆☆☆☆ Disappointing Stay – Would Not RecommendWe had high hopes for this campground, but unfortunately, our experience was far from enjoyable.• Roads: The roads are full of potholes, making it unpleasant (and a bit risky) to drive through.• Cleanliness: Goose droppings are everywhere, making it hard to walk around without stepping in it.• Facilities: Of the 4 washers in the laundry room, only 2 worked. One of the three showers was out of order.• Amenities: The miniature golf course is in terrible shape, and the outside deck is caving in, making it completely unusable.• Atmosphere: Campsites are crammed together like sardines, with little privacy. We also had barking dogs after 10 pm and encountered several rude people during our stay.Overall, this campground feels run-down and poorly maintained. We will not be returning, and I’d suggest looking elsewhere for a cleaner, friendlier, and better-kept place to camp.
