Camp Victory Lake Introduce
For New Yorkers seeking a breath of fresh air and a sense of community, the Hudson Valley has long been the ultimate escape. Nestled in the historic town of Hyde Park, Camp Victory Lake serves as a vital sanctuary for those looking to reconnect with nature and faith. Spanning over 100 acres of lush, wooded terrain, this campground is more than just a place to pitch a tent; it is a storied institution that has touched the lives of generations of families across the Empire State. Owned and operated by the Northeastern Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, the camp provides a God-centered atmosphere where visitors can enjoy wholesome recreation, spiritual growth, and the quiet beauty of upstate New York.
The camp is currently undergoing an ambitious transformation. While the original buildings maintain a sense of nostalgic charm, recent "huge steps into the future" have seen the grounds totally made over with improved landscaping and updated facilities. This blend of the past and the present creates a unique environment where modern security and medical personnel ensure a safe experience, while the timeless setting of the Hudson Valley remains untouched. Whether you are attending a large-scale camp meeting or looking for a peaceful retreat for a smaller group, the park offers a secure and inviting oasis just 90 miles north of New York City.
Location and accessibility are key components of the Camp Victory Lake experience. Located at 277 Crum Elbow Road in Hyde Park, the facility is easily reachable for residents of the five boroughs as well as those living in the surrounding Dutchess County area. Its position near major routes makes it a convenient weekend destination without the stress of excessive travel. To ensure that the beauty of the Hudson Valley is available to everyone, the camp features several accessibility enhancements. The grounds include a wheelchair-accessible entrance, a dedicated parking lot with accessible spots, and accessible restrooms, allowing all guests to participate in the community gatherings and outdoor festivities regardless of mobility needs.
The services offered at Camp Victory Lake are extensive, catering to various group sizes and needs. The camp operates as a multi-use facility, functioning as a summer youth camp, a conference center, and a destination for religious conventions. Throughout the year, the camp hosts specialized events such as couples' retreats, men's and women's conventions, and elegant banquets in their spacious halls. For those who enjoy the traditional camping lifestyle, the site provides a range of lodging options that balance comfort with the ruggedness of the outdoors.

What is worth choosing about Camp Victory Lake is the deep sense of legacy and the commitment to a safe, family-oriented environment. For many New York parents, the ability to send their children to the same camp they attended as kids is a rare and precious opportunity. The camp is worth choosing if you value a community that emphasizes the "love of God" alongside fun and growth. The recent infrastructure upgrades have significantly enhanced the comfort level of the stay, making it a viable choice for those who might have previously found older camp facilities too rustic. Additionally, the constant presence of security and helpers on the grounds provides peace of mind that is often hard to find in more isolated camping locations.
Ultimately, Camp Victory Lake offers a holistic experience. It is a place where young people can build independence and where adults can find spiritual refreshment away from the noise of the city. The combination of historical significance, recent modernization, and a prime Hyde Park location makes it a standout choice for the Seventh-day Adventist community and local families throughout New York. The grounds were totally made over. Yes yes I know the old buildings are still there exactly where they were that didn't change, but they took a big if not huge step into the future. It was a great mix of past and present. I am talking about the setting for camp meetings only not camp for children that I know nothing about. The places feels more secure with worker riding by constantly either security or medics or helpers, just a constant flow on 4x4s.
This is an amazing camp....my father went here as a child and I am beyond fortunate to be able to send my kids here as well. The community, fun, growth, independence all sprinkled with the knowledge and love of God and Jesus Christ 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿
Camp Victory Lake is a marvelous place where our various SDA churches families come together annually to worship and have church. It's spacious & immaculately clean. It's in Hyde Park NY and the air quality is perfect because of the trees and vast nature. It's a quiet and safe place where families gather to praise God and enjoy themselves with people that they see there annually. I love it there because I feel revived and blessed by the magnificent church service for the day.
Camp victory Lake is so beautiful words cannot express. I will surely visit again.
