Camp Wilmot Introduce
Nestled in the heart of the Granite State, Camp Wilmot serves as a serene sanctuary for those looking to escape the relentless pace of modern life. Spanning over 200 acres of lush, wooded landscape in the town of Wilmot, New Hampshire, this campground and retreat center has been a cornerstone of the local community for over 50 years. Originally founded as a girls' equestrian center before being established as a Christian camp in 1961, it has evolved into a versatile destination that welcomes people of all ages and backgrounds. Whether you are looking for a classic summer camp experience for a child or a quiet place for a corporate or religious retreat, the camp offers a unique "Christ-centered" environment that emphasizes community, nature, and spiritual growth.
The atmosphere at Camp Wilmot is defined by its commitment to "unwinding." For local New Hampshire residents and visitors alike, the property provides a rare opportunity to disconnect from social media pressures and the "busyness" of daily tasks. The landscape is dominated by mature forests and the centerpiece of the camp: White’s Pond, an 11-acre body of water that offers a mirror-like reflection of the surrounding hills. It is a place where the sound of the wind through the pines and the gentle lapping of water against the shore replace the noise of traffic and technology. This focus on peace and quiet makes it a beloved destination for those seeking a "home away from home" where friendships are forged and memories are held close to the heart.
Camp Wilmot is located at 5 Whites Pond Rd, Wilmot, NH 03287, USA. Its location is ideal for local travelers, situated approximately 40 miles northwest of the state capital, Concord, and less than two hours from the Boston metropolitan area. This makes it highly accessible for weekend getaways while remaining remote enough to offer a true wilderness experience. The camp is positioned in the transitional highlands between the Merrimack River drainage and the White Mountains, providing a varied terrain that is perfect for exploration. The town of Wilmot itself is a quiet, historic community, ensuring that the approach to the camp is scenic and free from the congestion of more commercialized tourist zones.
Accessibility within the camp is a priority, with a dedicated gravel parking area located immediately in front of the main Barn and Dining Hall. To preserve the quiet and safety of the grounds, guest vehicles are generally restricted to this area, with staff members assisting in ferrying luggage to the various cabins and sites. The camp also features wheelchair-accessible entrance points to ensure that its facilities can be enjoyed by all members of the community, regardless of mobility needs. Its proximity to local landmarks like Mount Kearsarge and Ragged Mountain means that guests can easily combine their stay with day trips to some of the region's most famous hiking and skiing destinations.

Customer Reviews
I love Camp Wilmot because once I’m there I can completely relax and unwind. Of course only as a visitor or as a rental person, without being a counselor or in charge. But even with the responsibilities of a counselor or director with short hours of sleep, the camp still offers a relaxing atmosphere at a very calm pace. Unwinding and exploring new things, away from many to do tasks, social media pressure or the busyness of our life’s. A place to enjoy a beautiful and quiet time outdoors at the lake or walking in the woods. Or being part of camp or rental groups enjoying some company and making new friends… it doesn’t matter. It’s always a place I will remember and hold close to my heart and memories. Hopefully we can visit soon again!!!
