What is worth choosing about this specific campground is the rare combination of a high-energy activity schedule and a peaceful, clean environment. While many family campgrounds can feel chaotic, the Canandaigua / Rochester KOA Holiday is frequently praised for its immaculate facilities and the "extra mile" the staff takes to keep the grounds in perfect condition. The location is truly unbeatable for anyone wanting to experience the best of New York’s wine country—being just minutes away from the Canandaigua Wine Trail—while still having the fun of a "staycation" with amenities like the ropes course and luxury family bathrooms. Choosing this KOA means choosing a community. Customer Reviews
We had an awesome stay. Staff was amazing! Facilities were clean and very well maintained. Activities were awesome for the kids and adults. It was our first time here and we loved it. Would highly recommend staying here. Location was great too for exploring.
The owners and staff are truly amazing! They keep everything so clean and perfect! They always have tons of activities planned and are so involved! We have been coming here for the last 5years and will continue to do so! Highly recommend. The biggest jump pad! Its covered, never wet or HOT.
Everyone of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Very clean and well maintained. Even though it was after Labor Day they still had activities and treated like it was peak season. My favorite campground yet!!
We stayed at the KOA in Farmington, NY this past weekend (Friday–Sunday) and were pleasantly surprised! The whole campground was spotless & super well-kept, including the bathrooms which were really clean! They placed us right on the fishing pond, which the kids absolutely loved. We had a tent site with electric and water (Site 2), it was a bit lot and sunny (not a lot of shade but perfect for sunbathing!)Everything is just a short walk away, the bathrooms/showers, the playground, the big pool (also very clean!), the store (decently priced), and the awesome vintage-style arcade where we played pool ($1), air hockey ($1) & table tennis (free!). The 18-hole mini putt ($3/person) was a blast, and my daughter couldn’t get enough of the giant jump pad. Literally hours of fun.We also tried ice cream from the Kafe the first night, a little pricey at $6.75 for a 2-scoop cone, but tasty. The paddle boats were fun too ($5/half hour), and the old-school obstacle course in the woods was a cool surprise. Saturday night Bingo was only $2 a card and a great time! And of course, we loved roasting marshmallows over the fire. Firewood on site is $8 per small bundle and we went through two bundles in about 2 hours.Only a 5-minute drive to Aldi, a gas station, hardware, liquor store, and fast food if you need anything.Highly recommend this KOA, we’ll definitely be back!
We stayed unfortunately only one night, the next time we pass through we will stay longer.Bruce, who helped us back in was awesome. This campground has by far the most amenities and services we ever experienced on a KOA. The food is amazing and fresh a bit on the high end price wise but worth it. Everyone was very friendly, we can recommend this campground for a one night stopover as well as we planing for a vacation
