Homestead Family Campground Introduce

For those living in the bustling corridors of Eastern Pennsylvania, finding a reliable escape to nature is a seasonal necessity. Homestead Family Campground, located in the scenic Montgomery County area, has long served as a destination for families and outdoor enthusiasts looking to trade asphalt for grass. Operating as both a traditional campground and a modern RV park, this location provides a versatile environment where locals can enjoy the simpler side of life. Whether you are a weekend warrior with a tent or a long-term traveler in a Class A motorhome, Homestead offers a community-focused atmosphere that embraces the rustic charm of the Pennsylvania countryside.

The campground is situated on a sprawling 31-acre property that borders the Manderfield Preserve, providing a natural buffer that enhances the sense of seclusion. Unlike more commercialized "resort" style parks, Homestead Family Campground maintains a traditional feel that prioritizes the outdoor experience. It is a place where the sound of children playing at the playground is more common than the hum of heavy traffic, making it a staple for residents from nearby Quakertown, Allentown, and the Philadelphia suburbs. The park’s commitment to a family-oriented environment is evident in its layout and the variety of activities available for visitors of all ages.

Location and accessibility are among the top reasons local campers choose this site. Homestead Family Campground is conveniently located at 1150 Allentown Rd, Green Lane, PA 18054, USA. Positioned in the northwestern tip of Montgomery County, it sits near the border of Bucks County, making it easily accessible via State Route 309 and State Route 313. For those traveling with larger rigs, the entrance is designed for ease of use, featuring wheelchair-accessible parking lots and a clearly marked entrance to ensure a smooth arrival. Its proximity to Green Lane Park also means that guests are never far from additional boating and fishing opportunities, adding another layer of value to their stay.

The facility is designed to be inclusive, offering amenities that cater to a wide range of physical needs. The focus on accessibility ensures that every family member can enjoy the park-like grounds. Whether you are pulling in for a quick overnight stay or settling in for a monthly seasonal site, the location provides a strategic balance of rural peace and suburban convenience, with local markets and services just a short drive away in the surrounding communities of Moorestown and Sellersville.

Homestead Family Campground provides a comprehensive suite of services intended to make the camping experience as seamless as possible. Recognizing the needs of modern RV travelers, the park has invested in full-service infrastructure while maintaining traditional sites for those who prefer primitive camping. The following services are available to all guests:

  • Full RV hookups including 30 and 50-amp electrical service, sewer, and water connections.
  • Dedicated RV camping areas specifically designed to accommodate various vehicle lengths.
  • On-site parking for both primary camping vehicles and guest cars.
  • A sanitary dump station for guests without direct sewer hookups.
  • Modern restroom facilities with hot showers and flush toilets, noted for their cleanliness.
  • Laundry facilities to assist with longer stays or post-hiking cleanup.
  • A variety of payment options including credit cards, debit cards, and standard camping fees.
  • On-site staff available for check-in assistance and general park maintenance.

Features and highlights are what truly define a campground’s personality. Homestead Family Campground excels in providing a "back-to-basics" joy that many modern parks have lost. From the mature trees providing shade to the organized play areas, the park’s highlights are centered around family bonding and outdoor recreation. Visitors can look forward to the following features:

  • A large, kid-friendly playground featuring a castle-like climbing gym and a separate area for toddlers.
  • Direct access to forest trails for hiking and biking, perfect for nature observation.
  • A swimming pool that offers a refreshing break during the humid Pennsylvania summer months.
  • Pet-friendly policies that allow dogs to join the family adventure (on-leash and vaccinated).
  • Designated picnic areas equipped with tables and fire rings for traditional campfire cooking.
  • A spacious recreation hall used for community gatherings and indoor activities.
  • Proximity to a stocked fish pond for those who enjoy a quiet morning with a fishing rod.
  • Quiet hours and a general park policy that ensures a peaceful night's sleep for all residents.

In the competitive world of Pennsylvania camping, Homestead Family Campground is worth choosing because of its authentic commitment to the "family" part of its name. In an era where many parks are transitioning into strictly full-time residential parks or high-priced luxury resorts, Homestead maintains a middle ground that feels like a true getaway. It is a place where you can find "kid-friendly hikes" that aren't too strenuous for little legs, and where the bathrooms are consistently cited as being some of the cleanest in the local area—a small detail that makes a massive difference for comfort.

Furthermore, the park’s location makes it a perfect "base camp." You can spend the morning hiking the trails of the Manderfield Preserve and the afternoon taking a short drive to explore the historical sites of the Lehigh Valley or the shopping districts of Bucks County. The combination of professional services, accessible facilities, and a quiet, rustic atmosphere makes it a reliable choice for local Pennsylvanians who want to reconnect with nature without leaving the convenience of the region. Whether it’s for a single night under the stars or a seasonal home away from home, Homestead provides a welcoming environment for all who love the Pennsylvania outdoors.

Not a campground - instead creepy town. This is a full time living park. The residents and workers way too much interest in what you are doing. Office worker followed me on her golf cart to tell me to take an hike and venture out into the woods with no paths alone to see if I could find some trails?? Old men in truck view when you come and go. The honey wagon guy showed up over a week after I requested to drain the black water at 9pm on a Saturday night in the pitch dark with a pen light asking us to come outside YIKES!! The place is unkempt - our site was over grown. Will never ever return.

The new spots for RV's in the woods are great! Cleanest bathrooms of any of the local campgrounds. Quiet and friendly neighbors, clean sites.

One of the nicest campgrounds I've been in. It's quiet, the people are really kind and helpful. Not only the staff but the residents on site as well.

There is no pool here the sites are run down the kids play area has loose wood screws sticking out this is not a place to stay with ur family. 90% of the people here are monthly people working in the area. Find an actual family campground if I have ur kids.

This is not a hotel . This a campground. So you’ll need to pack up your camping supplies and come on out. Dogs are welcome as long as they are leashed. There are bathrooms/showers at each end of the campground. I hope to see you there!
