Perfect location! We are hikers of the Appalachian Trail, and the State Park camp ground was quiet, and friendly with beautiful views of both the Housatonic River, and Sharon Mountain. We will for sure be back!
We really enjoyed our stay the site we perfe was perfect. We loved hearing the river while we fell asleep. We are definitely coming back next year and renting a cabin and another tent site
We came here and had differing opinions, It was Spencer's first time camping here and he didnt like it. Kimberly has been here multiple times, loves it and has fond memories of this place. Granted we did go on Labor Day weekend, and we both have very different ideas when it comes to camping but ultimately we did have fun. That said there just isn't enough space to put our thoughts here, but if you want the entire scoop you can read our review on our blog lazylittlecamper.
Convenient if you are coming from Hartford area. Nice campsite. Route 7 is a great north south road to explore. Bathroom was good. Route 7 does get noisy.
My father and mom brought me and my brothers there when we were small it was fantastic back in the late seventies. I brought my children in the early 90s camping there and they loved it I did also. I love tent camping the old fashion way not in an RV or camper
