Kings Family Campground Introduce
For families in Massachusetts looking to reconnect with nature without leaving the convenience of the Commonwealth, Kings Family Campground offers a classic New England outdoor experience. Nestled on the pristine shores of Lake Manchaug in the town of Sutton, this campground serves as a refreshing getaway from the urban routine. With over 1,200 feet of immaculate lakefront, the park is designed for those who find peace near the water. Whether you are a seasonal camper who considers this your "second home" or a weekend traveler exploring the Blackstone Valley, the campground provides a scenic backdrop of starry skies and clean country air that is quintessentially Massachusetts.
The campground is characterized by its spacious sites and a strong emphasis on maintaining a clean, quiet environment for its guests. As a family-oriented destination, it focuses on providing a safe space where children can play and adults can unwind. The park features a blend of waterfront and conventional campsites, catering to both traditional tent campers and modern RV enthusiasts. By balancing private, wooded areas with open recreational spaces, Kings Family Campground aims to provide the best of both worlds: a secluded retreat and a vibrant community atmosphere where lifelong friendships are often forged over crackling campfires.
Location and accessibility are among the top reasons Massachusetts residents choose this destination. Located at 24 Holt Rd, Sutton, MA 01590, the campground is remarkably easy to reach from major regional hubs. It is situated just 19 minutes from Worcester, roughly 30 minutes from Providence, and less than an hour's drive from both Boston and Springfield. Its central location makes it a perfect Friday-afternoon escape for those looking to avoid the heavy traffic of the Cape or the northern border, allowing for more time spent at the campsite and less time on the road.
For those arriving with large rigs or specialized equipment, accessibility is well-managed. The campground features a wheelchair-accessible entrance and a wheelchair-accessible parking lot to ensure that all guests can enjoy the facilities. The main roads within the park are designed to accommodate various vehicle sizes, from small pop-up trailers to full-sized motorhomes. However, given the hilly and wooded nature of the Sutton area, new visitors are encouraged to follow the specific directions provided via Route 146 or Route 395 to ensure a smooth approach to the Holt Road entrance.
The services offered at Kings Family Campground are comprehensive, aimed at providing a seamless stay for both short-term visitors and seasonal residents. The park is equipped with modern infrastructure to support the needs of today’s campers, including updated utility systems and on-site conveniences that minimize the need for off-site trips. Management and staff are on the premises at all times to assist with guest needs and ensure that park rules are respected for the comfort of the entire community.

Kings Family Campground is worth choosing for its exceptional balance of natural beauty and accessibility. While many campgrounds require a significant journey into the deep woods, Kings allows you to enjoy a pristine lakeside environment while staying close to the services of Worcester and Sutton. The focus on Lake Manchaug makes it a premier choice for water enthusiasts; having a private beach and marina on-site is a luxury that few inland campgrounds can match. The investment in recent infrastructure upgrades, such as revamped electrical and sewer systems, ensures that your stay is comfortable and your equipment is well-supported.
Furthermore, the park is worth choosing for its community-centric atmosphere. The high number of seasonal campers is a testament to the quality of the environment; people return year after year because of the friendships they’ve made and the care taken to keep the grounds looking their best. If you value a campground that enforces quiet hours and maintains a strict standard for upkeep and noise pollution, you will find a like-minded community here. Choosing Kings means choosing a getaway where safety, cleanliness, and the simple joys of a Massachusetts summer come first. It’s an ideal spot to build lasting memories under the starry skies of the Blackstone Valley.
In summary, Kings Family Campground provides a robust outdoor experience tailored to the needs of local Massachusetts families. From the sandy shores of Lake Manchaug to the well-lit recreation areas, every feature is designed to help you disconnect from the stress of the work week and reconnect with your loved ones. We invite you to explore the beauty of Sutton and discover why so many locals consider this their favorite lakeside retreat. Customer Reviews
Anna, the camp manager, is very rude to the clients. She treated me and my family so badly and annoyed us about literally everything we did. We all left here very upset. I can see from some other reviews that I am not the only one. If you camp here prepare to be treated badly!! Also is not dog friendly!
Anna the Manager of the campground, should be Fired or retired for good, the only thing she’s good at it is being rude and complaining about everything that you’ll do around the campground,Absolutely Don’t go to this place, there are much better places around and we all deserve a better treatment as human beingsAlso She should be properly trained how to address the public as she was very rude.
We absolutely loved staying at King’s Campground season of 2024. Anna made it very welcoming and made room for us as we were in the area working. Even though we didn’t get to participate in a lot of activities, they have plenty for everyone and all age groups. The community is very friendly. Campground is well maintained and clean with a great sandy beach and swimming area in the lake. If we are ever back in the area we would most certainly stay again. Thanks for everything! 🤗
I find Anna the owner is a very disrespectful and she tells a lot lies me and my partner will never vamp here again it’s a boring campground and very rough bathrooms not clean and you have pay 3 quarters in a machine for 4 minute shower me personally I think is ridiculous do not recommend this place at all
We came to visit our son and daughter in law last year and we feel in love with this camp site. Everyone was so friendly and we had a blast. We just purchased a trailer and will be on site for next year. Anna was very welcoming and helpful to us. She had the perfect site for us. Looking forward to next year.
