Ontario Shores RV Park Introduce

For New Yorkers seeking a tranquil escape where the rhythmic sounds of Lake Ontario meet the comfort of a dedicated residential community, Ontario Shores RV Park stands as a premier destination. Located in Pulaski, New York—a region world-renowned for its salmon fishing and coastal beauty—this park serves as a versatile hub for both mobile home living and seasonal RV enthusiasts. It is designed for those who value a "low-key" lifestyle, offering a peaceful environment that contrasts sharply with the high-traffic tourist centers nearby. Whether you are looking for a permanent seasonal base or a long-term summer retreat, Ontario Shores provides a manicured landscape where the lakeside life becomes a daily reality.

The park is professionally managed with a focus on cleanliness and community. It has recently transitioned into a more structured environment under modern management, ensuring that infrastructure remains reliable for all residents. One of the defining characteristics of Ontario Shores is its spacious layout; unlike many crowded campgrounds, this community prioritizes large sites, often shaded by mature trees. This sense of space, combined with its proximity to several New York State Parks, makes it an ideal choice for local families and retirees who want to enjoy the great outdoors without sacrificing the modern conveniences of a well-maintained mobile home park.

Location and accessibility are among the park's strongest assets. Situated at 348 Rainbow Shores Road, Pulaski, NY 13142, the community is nestled just a "stone's throw" from the eastern shores of Lake Ontario. For residents traveling from Syracuse, Watertown, or Rochester, the park is easily accessible via major regional routes, yet remains tucked away enough to maintain its quiet character. Accessibility is a top priority at Ontario Shores, which features a wheelchair-accessible entrance, a wheelchair-accessible parking lot, and wheelchair-accessible restroom facilities. This commitment ensures that all members of the New York community, regardless of mobility, can comfortably enjoy the park’s amenities and beautiful surroundings.

The surrounding area is a haven for outdoor lovers. Residents are minutes away from the stunning Salmon River Falls and the swimming beaches of Selkirk Shores State Park. While the immediate neighborhood is noted for its quiet, rocky shoreline and breathtaking sunsets, the convenience of nearby Pulaski ensures that grocery stores, local diners, and essential services are always within a short drive. The park’s layout is designed to accommodate various sizes of homes and RVs, with clear signage and wide access roads that make arrival and departure stress-free for even the largest motorhomes.

Ontario Shores RV Park offers a comprehensive suite of services tailored to the needs of modern seasonal living. The focus is on providing a seamless "plug-and-play" experience for RVers and a stable, high-quality environment for mobile home residents. The service model includes full-service hookups and onsite amenities that reduce the need for external errands, allowing guests to spend more time relaxing by the water.

  • Full RV hookups including dedicated water, sewer, and electric connections (30 and 50 amp options).
  • Seasonal mobile home site leasing with a focus on long-term community building and stability.
  • Onsite laundry facilities equipped with modern washers and dryers, maintained for maximum cleanliness.
  • Professional management and attentive staff who reside onsite or are available to address maintenance issues promptly.
  • Acceptance of multiple payment methods, including major credit cards and debit cards, for all park fees.
  • A community clubhouse and rec hall that serve as a central hub for social gatherings and holiday events.
  • Flexible check-in options for transient guests, often allowing for early arrival without additional fees when scheduling permits.

The features and highlights of Ontario Shores are centered on recreation and relaxation. The park is particularly known for its vibrant social calendar during the summer months, hosting activities that bring the community together. From potluck lunches to organized holiday celebrations, there is a distinct effort to create a family-friendly atmosphere that is both engaging and respectful of those who prefer peace and quiet.

  • A large, impeccably clean outdoor swimming pool area featuring a surrounding patio with tables and comfortable seating.
  • Beautifully landscaped grounds featuring ponds and a community garden with a serene waterfall.
  • A dedicated playground area for children, making the park a popular choice for grandparents hosting their grandchildren.
  • Pet-friendly policies that allow for dogs, with plenty of open field space for walking and exercise.
  • Regularly organized community events, such as 4th of July t-shirt decorating, ice cream socials, and live music performances.
  • Proximity to the lakefront for watching the famous Lake Ontario sunsets in a quiet, rocky beach setting.
  • A community firepit area with comfy chairs, perfect for evening storytelling and stargazing.

For those interested in joining this lakeside community or inquiring about site availability for the 2026 season, direct communication with the office is recommended. As many sites are reserved by returning seasonal guests, early inquiries are essential for securing a spot in this popular Pulaski retreat.

Ontario Shores RV Park is worth choosing for those who prioritize a balance of professional infrastructure and a relaxed, neighborhood feel. It is a standout choice for residents who find the massive, high-density campgrounds in the region too overwhelming. Here, the "seasonal first" approach creates a stable environment where neighbors know each other, and the atmosphere remains consistently quiet. The park is especially worth choosing for its attentive management; residents frequently highlight how the owners are "attentive to their campground" and quick to address any maintenance needs, such as plumbing or facility updates.

Furthermore, the park’s location is unbeatable for those who love the water but dislike the crowds. Being able to walk to a private-feeling shoreline to watch the sunset, or taking a short drive to world-class fishing spots, makes this park a strategic base for any New Yorker. While modern corporate management has introduced new rules and rate adjustments, the trade-off is a clean, secure, and highly organized facility that continues to provide one of the most relaxing experiences on the eastern shore of Lake Ontario. If you are looking for a "home away from home" that values quiet evenings and tidy amenities, Ontario Shores RV Park is a local gem that delivers on its promises.

This is a very nicely kept campground. The sites are large, mostly with trees that provide shade, and full hook ups. Just a stones throw from Lake Ontario, and close to several State Parks. The pool area is so clean, many tables for guests, outdoor firepit and comfy chairs at the community room by the pool. The main building/office/store is under construction so no supplies, but doesn't interupt the guests or activities. We had our 2 grandchildren with us, ages 16 & 10. There were other kids here over the holiday weekend, but this never filled up with campers. A great band played and there were activities for the holiday, like a pool party with potluck lunch (they supplied hots, beverages), 4th of July t-shirt decorating, ice cream social - very nicely organized. There's primarily seasonal guests that are very low key, so if you're looking for quiet, this is the place. The only issue is that the rest rooms, only one building for the entire campground, that is located near the pool. There were few times the restroom was closed due to a plumbing issue. This created a bit of an inconvenience if you spent any extended time at the pool because we had to walk all the way back to our site/RV to use the RV toilet. But - it was addressed many times. These owners are attentive to their campground! There's a laundry room with washers/dryers - again super clean. There are ponds on the property where seasonal campers can reserve sites , but no swimming there. The nearby beach is all big rocks, but has a beautiful view of the lake, the sunset, and again - very quiet neighborhood.Kayla and her family have created a wonderful, very relaxing campground. But again, mostly seasonal, not a full campground that we've seen (we're here for 4 weeks), not hardly any kids, and quiet. Check out the area when reserving - close to so many parks and we recommend Selkirk Shores State Park for lake swimming in addition to camp pool.

Second time back here it was very quiet Mother's Day weekend and I thought all it was early in the season. I am staying now on a holiday weekend Fourth of July I came in on Thursday and I'm leaving on Monday. A few more campers but not as many a lot of empty sites if you see my videos on Facebook to start out the sign outfront says ice and wood sold here there's no ice because of remodeling and no sign to tell you that plus some of the activities were in the pavilion and they did not put that on there either. I heard this place was bought by a big corporation so there's a lot of rules positive things are. I got to check in at 12:30 on Thursday and no early check fee. I did get the same site I That I love very much, which is close to the pool and the community room talk about the community room don't go there in the summer because they have no air conditioning and it's hotter than hell in there. Not a lot of people show up to their activities, even though their seasonal campers don't know why I spoke to a few people they weren't happy because of raising the prices I guess when the new owners took over her and really hyped up the price half the people left, which is really too bad. This part just needs a TLC and someone who knows what they're doing to run the place not a big corporation that knows nothing about Camping

Our site did not have working power, we were told to run an Extention cord. We cannot run air conditioning on an extension cord. Plus the next site didn’t have power either. No offer to move us or refund our money. The bathrooms literally ran out of toilet paper and were not cleaned. 2 sites down they had a registered electric car that can be driven on public’s roads and they told them they can’t drive it. But we observed other people driving golf carts on premises. The site next to us had no picnic table or fire pit. I dont think they were prepared for us.

I think this campground was once a nice place to go. Unfortunately it has been under managed for too long. No water in the pool, old playground, beautiful rec hall that is locked and used for storage and NO activities and no good view of the water. Even the seasonals have pulled out. Certainly not worth it in money or fun!
