Pocono Raceway Seasonal Campground Introduce

For Pennsylvania residents and racing enthusiasts alike, the Pocono Raceway Seasonal Campground offers a unique outdoor experience that blends the excitement of professional motorsports with the natural beauty of the Pocono Mountains. Located within the historic "Tricky Triangle," this facility is not just a place to park an RV; it is a destination that allows visitors to stay in the very heart of the action. Whether you are visiting for a high-octane NASCAR weekend or a major music festival like Elements, the campground provides a professional and accommodating environment. For local users, it represents an accessible and high-value way to enjoy the Long Pond area, offering a sense of community that is rare in standard commercial campgrounds. The site is widely recognized for its "laid-back retro energy" and its ability to host diverse groups, from racing teams to families on their annual summer vacation.

Operating seasonally from May through October, the campground caters primarily to RV travelers, providing the same sites where professional racecar drivers park during event weekends. While the facility is most famous for its racing ties, it has evolved into a versatile venue that serves as a base for exploring all that the Poconos have to offer. The atmosphere is one of camaraderie and excitement, particularly during event windows when the infield comes alive with block parties and communal gatherings. For those seeking a quieter experience, the campground also offers a peaceful retreat during non-event days, allowing campers to enjoy the surrounding woodlands and the crisp mountain air of Sullivan and Monroe counties. The management maintains a professional standard of service, ensuring that the grounds are clean and that the rules of the "Tricky Triangle" are respected to ensure safety for all guests.

Location and accessibility are among the strongest points for this Long Pond destination. Situated at 1234 Long Pond Rd, Long Pond, PA 18334, the campground is easily reachable from major Pennsylvania hubs. For travelers coming from the Philadelphia area, the drive is a straightforward trip of approximately 100 miles, while those from Scranton or Allentown can reach the gates in under an hour. The entrance is conveniently located through Gate 1 via the Infield Tunnel, though campers are often directed to check in at RV/Camping Registration at Gate 7 off Route 115 first. The facility is fully committed to accessibility, featuring wheelchair-accessible entrances, parking lots, and restroom facilities to ensure that all guests, regardless of mobility, can participate in the fun. Its proximity to Interstate 80 and the Pennsylvania Turnpike makes it one of the most accessible large-scale campgrounds in the region.

The services offered at Pocono Raceway Seasonal Campground are designed to facilitate a smooth and enjoyable stay for various types of campers. While the infrastructure is heavily optimized for RVs and trailers, the staff goes to great lengths to provide the essential utilities needed for multi-day stays. The facility is well-equipped to handle large groups and camping rallies, offering fair nightly prices and a staff-escorted parking process to ensure every vehicle is positioned safely and correctly.

The features and highlights of this facility extend beyond the racetrack itself. One of the most notable additions is the Ally Bark Park, the first dedicated dog park located inside a NASCAR track, making it a premier choice for pet owners. Families will also find significant value in the Lehigh Valley Reilly Children’s Hospital Inclusive Playground, a 5,000-square-foot space where children of all abilities can play together. These features, combined with the scenic backdrop of the Pocono Mountains, make the campground a well-rounded destination for guests of all ages.

  • The Infield Block Party, featuring live music, food vendors, and entertainment on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights during race weeks.
  • Ally Bark Park, a dedicated on-site dog park where pets can run off-leash in a secure environment.

During NASCAR weekends, specific camping packages often include complimentary grandstand access and paddock passes, providing exceptional value for the price.

Group came for a camping rally. Facility so accommodating and fair prices nightly for campsite. Not ideal for tenting, but perfect for all other campers (travel trailers, class A, class C, van campers, truck campers, etc.) Campsite on gravel pads where grass grown in. Front of site paved. Pet-friendly and smaller playground in camping area for kids (bigger playground in easy walking distance.) Location short drive to all that makes the Poconos a destination for all things outdoor. Shade limited (tall shrubs/bushes do provide some), no 'extra' restroom facilities - just your camping unit, full hookup at each site (water connection may need 'Y' as shared valve/connection for every 2 sites.) All connections at back of site, bring extra length of hose/wire. No restrooms in proximity to serve campsites. These sites are where racecar drivers park their RVs during a race.

Clean and as expected. They have some cool activities that we didn’t have time to take part in but would have liked to. If spending a couple days here, I’d suggest looking into the UTV experience.
