River Beach RV Resort Introduce
River Beach RV Resort stands as a quintessential seasonal retreat for those looking to immerse themselves in the natural beauty of South Jersey’s riverfront. Located along the winding banks of the Great Egg Harbor River, this resort offers a unique combination of traditional wooded camping and high-end water access. As a seasonal-only facility, it fosters a tight-knit community of recurring summer residents who value the tranquility of the river and the proximity to the bustling Jersey Shore. For New Jersey locals, it represents a home away from home where the pace of life slows down to match the gentle flow of the tide.
The resort is designed as a sanctuary for those who enjoy the "river life." Whether you are an avid boater, a sunset enthusiast, or someone who simply enjoys the rustle of leaves in a wooded campsite, River Beach provides an escape from the daily grind. The property is known for its tall trees, scenic river views, and a relaxed atmosphere that encourages long weekends spent by the water. Because it operates on a seasonal basis, guests have the opportunity to settle in, personalize their space, and build lasting friendships with neighbors who return year after year.
Conveniently located at 4678 Somers Point Rd, Mays Landing, NJ 08330, River Beach RV Resort is exceptionally accessible for residents of the Garden State. The facilities, including the main office area and restrooms, are designed to be inclusive, allowing every member of the family to enjoy the resort's amenities. Choosing River Beach RV Resort is an investment in a specific lifestyle. For many New Jersey residents, what makes this place worth choosing is the unparalleled access to the water. The Great Egg Harbor River is a federally designated "Wild and Scenic River," and having your RV parked right on its banks provides a front-row seat to one of the state's most pristine ecosystems. Boaters particularly find value here, as the marina serves as a gateway to the Atlantic Ocean, allowing for day trips to the coast followed by a quiet evening back at the campsite away from the oceanfront crowds.
Furthermore, the resort is ideal for those who prefer a more "low-key" and autonomous camping experience. While it offers essential amenities like a pool and playground, the real draw is the opportunity for relaxation and self-directed recreation. It is a place where you can spend twenty years coming to the same spot, watching the tide go in and out, and enjoying the reliability of a familiar community. For the local user in Mays Landing or surrounding Atlantic County, River Beach offers a localized escape that feels a world away without requiring a long-distance haul. It is the perfect choice for the seasoned RVer who wants a stable, river-focused summer home in the heart of the Pine Barrens region.

Customer Reviews
Vey tight sites with a disorganized layout. Not a real marina as it has no power, no storage, and no dock boxes. So either carry all your gear or get ready to take your favorite boat brush and hose on every trip. Also there is no marina manager so if something goes wrong you are on your own. If you were robbed or the boat was damaged it will be a surprise right before that long-awaited boat ride. There are water spickets at the dock where you can hook that hose up you just took to dinner with you, however the water pressure is terrible. If someone else is washing their boat at the same time don't even bother unless you synchronize a rhythm of taking turns spraying. The boat ramp is closed due to lack of maintenance and a collapse which happened several months ago and instead of a repair, picnic tables were placed across the ramp. Also don't think about driving your golf cart after 11, so if you want to do late night laundry or use the bathhouse be sure your shower slippers are comfortable. Management drives their golf carts all night looking for violators. However they really don't need to as the tattletale population is impressive. The water quality at the camp sites is terrible and reeks of sulfur. Most sites flood during heavy rain leaving you stranded in the camper and your gear floating away for several hours. No outside firewood allowed and if your fire smokes you will be asked to extinguish it. Wifi is terrible. Seagull droppings are unbearable at the marina. Sites have only a 50 Amp plug, no 110 additional outdoor outlets, so any accessories like golf cart charger or outdoor lights have to run through your Camper power outlets. You are responsible for all maintenance on your site, if a weed pops up you will be prompted with photos and an email. As convenient as having black tank hookups are, we and other sites were constantly battling clogs in the hookup. I suspect roots growing in sewage pipes. This place is not kid friendly and it is made clear that they don't want your kids here. No activities for children at all. There are no swing sets or rec yards so the kids dig in the dirt they consider a beach. Hence the name, except they are missing the beach.
We have been camping at River Beach for 20 years. It is our summer getaway to relax, watch the River and beautiful sunsets. Janet the manager and Mike the all around helper guy are always available to help you out if you run into an issue whether it is your issue or theirs. If you are looking for a relaxing atmosphere this is your place.
BEST CAMPGROUND EVER , I’m never leaving I’ll be a seasonal camper as long as I can .
Janet and the team have done a wonderful job in recent years really turning RB into a World Class Resort. Visited during a recent road trip down memory lane. So much has changed—for the better in recent years.
This place is wonderful. Janet the manager and Mike the maintenance man are always working hard to make things better. Every time we have question, concerns or problems it is taking care of. Couldn’t ask for a better staff.
