Skyridge Trails Campground Introduce

Nestled within 365 acres of pristine forest, lush meadows, and rolling farmland, Skyridge Trails Campground represents a significant new addition to the outdoor hospitality landscape of northwestern Connecticut. Located in the picturesque Litchfield Hills, this campground was designed and built by the experienced owners of the nearby Cozy Hills Campground, bringing a high standard of quality and professionalism to the Torrington area. Whether you are a local Connecticut resident looking for a quick weekend escape or a traveler exploring the Berkshire foothills, Skyridge Trails offers a modern, thoughtful environment that balances the rugged beauty of the woods with high-end amenities. Since its opening in 2024, it has quickly gained a reputation for its stunning mountain views and its commitment to providing a first-class camping experience for RV enthusiasts, tent campers, and cabin seekers alike.

The atmosphere at Skyridge Trails is one of peaceful discovery. As you ascend the entrance, you are greeted by expansive skies and a landscape that has been carefully manicured to preserve its natural charm while providing modern comforts. The campground serves as a perfect home base for those who love the outdoors, offering miles of internal hiking trails and close proximity to regional favorites like Burr Pond State Park and the Paugnut State Forest. From the meticulously cleaned bathhouses to the friendly, escort-led check-in process, every detail is handled with the goal of making guests feel welcomed and relaxed from the moment they arrive at their site.

Conveniently located at 232 Klug Hill Road, Torrington, CT 06790, Skyridge Trails Campground is easily accessible for residents across Connecticut. While it offers a distinct feeling of being "off the beaten path," it remains close enough to the city center of Torrington for guests to access local shopping and dining when needed. The approach to the campground involves a scenic drive through the Litchfield countryside, culminating in a spacious three-lane check-in area at the main office designed to accommodate even the largest big rigs. The campground is notably "big rig friendly," with wide gravel roads and level sites that have been engineered to handle modern RVs with ease.

For those navigating the property, accessibility is a priority. The facilities include wheelchair-accessible entrances, restrooms, and parking lots, ensuring that all guests can enjoy the community spaces comfortably. While the campground is situated on a hill, providing those signature views of the southern Berkshires, the main amenity hubs are designed to be navigable. Guests should note that the natural topography can result in breezy conditions, which only adds to the fresh, mountain-air experience of the stay.

Skyridge Trails Campground is worth choosing because it represents the next generation of Connecticut camping, where the infrastructure is as impressive as the scenery. Unlike many older campgrounds with cramped sites, Skyridge offers spacious, "subdivision-style" pads that provide plenty of room for modern slide-outs and outdoor setups. The investment in underground electrical wiring and level gravel surfacing means that campers spend less time troubleshooting their setup and more time enjoying the landscape. The owners have leveraged their decade of experience at Cozy Hills to create a site that feels professional, safe, and community-oriented.

Furthermore, the variety of activities available on-site makes it a standout choice for families. It is rare to find a campground that offers a high-end swimming lagoon, a BMX track, and mini-golf all included in the experience. For those who may not own an RV, the Amish-built cabins provide a "glamping" alternative that is both cozy and impeccably clean. Whether you are sipping a drink from the traveling bar during a themed weekend or watching the sunset over the Berkshires from your fire pit, Skyridge Trails provides a polished yet authentic outdoor experience. It is a destination that invites you to watch it grow and mature, making it a place many Connecticut families will likely visit for years to come.

We stayed here September 2025. This was our first visit and as others have noted this is a new campground. We like Cozy Hills and since this is the same owners we expected this to be a good visit as well. After ascending the driveway the first thing you see is the pond they have made. Beautiful and clean enough to enjoy a swim. Deepest part is 16 feet. They have a spacious 3-lane check in at the office. Check in was easy. The staff are very friendly and in no time we were escorted to our site. The sites are all gravel. No grass but ours was level. Beautiful views and a split rail fence at the back of the site. The only thing I would say that was a minor issue at all is that after we got parked and everything looked good we realized our awning would be over the firepit. It is a ring of stacked stone so not something to move. We had to reposition leaving us right up against the neighbor site or park way to the front of the site leaving us in the road for hitching/unhitching. Not all sites were setup like this but I did see others where firepits were very close to the campers. I do want to qualify that the site was spacious and the firepit could be over more. The sites are all full hook upThere is some very nice landscaping that will only get better as trees and bushes mature. At the campground: Small game room & mini golf which were free. The pond and hiking trails. Golf cart rentals. Hayrides, Basketball/tennis court and more. They have 3 nice rental cabins as well. There are bathrooms next to the office. They were well done and exceptionally clean. My wife was the only one in the Ladies room and snapped a couple photos. They have showers as well. They have an outdoor grill trailer. The food we had was very good and they even deliver to your site. As a bonus the night we came in they had a traveling bar. Sip made us each an outstanding drink & the couple running it were very nice. One note - As we felt fairly far out in the woods we were surprised at the road noise. This did not bother us, just an observation. All the staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful. We had a very nice stay and will return.

Beautiful new campground. Perfect getaway for weekenders! It is off the beaten path. We arrived after hours and after dark and could not find our parking package. There is no box to place them safely. Apparently the package was taped to a window in the winds took it away. Luckily we knew ahead of time what our spot was and because they have a map posted on their website we were able to find it on our own. A dear young man named Eric came out to make sure that we were okay. But once we settled in the place was lovely!

New campground as of 2024. We stayed for 2 overnights and enjoyed our stay. Met some really nice people during our visit. Not much landscaping as of yet, but the man-made pond is absolutely the star of this campground. As is the sunrise. Incredible.Sites are level. Fire pits at each site as well as a picnic table. Disappointed that when designing the campground, they left out a restroom/shower building in the lower field area. After disconnecting from water and sewer, it would be nice to have facilities to use without having to wait until you pull your rig to the exit. The only restrooms are located up on the hill behind the office. There is also a port-a-potty at the pond area. We stayed early July and checked out right before the holiday weekend. We would stay here again but not until they plant some trees to help with shade. We live in CT, 2 hours from Skyridge, and traveled in a 35 ft fifth wheel.

6/1/25 ... nice, quiet, and clean. Sites are out in the open / no bushes or trees for privacy. WiFi is okay, no CATV, but you do pick up a few dozens HD off airs. Dirt roads & level lots made from small trap rock. Bathrooms are clean, and they are only located at the office - they are in need of a restroom at the opposite end of their property, down by the sites. They have a nice little camp store with most of your necessities.

I loved the cleanliness, warm atmosphere, great kids activities. The grounds were meticulous and the staff were helpful. We weren’t able to swim bc it was too cold but I’m looking forward to coming back.
