Whether you are interested in the local cranberry harvest or simply want to relax by a campfire, this location offers a quintessentially Massachusetts experience.

What is worth choosing
When staying at Thousand Trails Gateway to Cape Cod, it is worth choosing one of the "Premium" sites if they are available. These sites are often located in the "Outpost" or "Ponderosa" sections, which are known for being more spacious and providing better maneuverability for larger RVs. For those who prioritize peace and quiet, the sites backing up to the cranberry bogs are highly recommended, as they offer unique views and a higher degree of privacy. If you are traveling with children, choosing a site near the "Main Street" section puts you in close proximity to the swimming pool and the playground, making it much easier to manage daily activities.
Furthermore, it is worth choosing to bring a bicycle and exploring the local bike trails that connect the Rochester area to the surrounding South Shore towns. For those who enjoy nature photography, the fall harvest season is a spectacular time to visit, as the nearby cranberry bogs are flooded and transformed into a vibrant sea of red—a truly iconic Massachusetts sight. While the heavy tree cover can be a challenge for some satellite internet users, choosing to "unplug" and utilize the park's hiking trails to reach the peaceful river at the back of the property is a great way to experience the real value of this location. Regardless of your site choice, be sure to pack an extra tarp or a rig-cleaning kit; the lush pine canopy is beautiful, but the falling sap is a reminder that you are truly living among the trees.

Customer Reviews
Probably the worst Thousand Trails we’ve stayed at. The park feels very run down and poorly maintained. Most sites are completely covered in pine trees and very sandy, so expect everything—RV, chairs, and picnic table—to be covered in sticky sap. Starlink users should expect limited internet due to the tree coverage. Our site was very unlevel, and several tree limbs and exposed roots made pulling in and parking difficult. We barely fit in the spot we were assigned. Overall, it works for a short stay, but we wouldn’t return unless the park saw some serious updates and maintenance improvements.
We live on the road, full-time for 4 years. This is a beautiful RV Park with lots of amenities. It's quiet and peaceful. Great for families! The RV lots are spacious. Internet service was not good, though, due to all the tall trees. Also be aware of tree sap falling on your RV and vehicles. The customer service was very good. Nice pool! Laundry was very expensive, $3.25 to wash, $3 to dry (60 min). Lots of machines.
This is one of the best Thousand Trails as far as the staff and management! The location is also wonderful and the campground is clean. We stayed there during a very stressful time when we were transitioning from one RV and trading our camper in for another RV! The staff, especially Larry and Felicia, were wonderful and made things so much easier on us! Again, a huge shout out to the staff, especially Larry and Felicia!!!!
Rude nasty office person. Came in and our spot was double booked. Talked to ranger. He told us to put our camper in the spot next to it. Was called by a very nasty office attendant that told is we needed to move immediately because the person left the next morning out of our original spot after we were all set up because a camper who was pulling in needed our spot. Funny thing is NO One picks their spot. It is computer generated so NO ONE would know where they are going. Would've had a better experience if it hadn't been for the NASTY interaction in the office. Especially when we asked the ranger, called the office and came in the morning to explain what happened and no one was there at the time except the thousand trails rep who I told that i was in the spot next to c39 before I left for sight seeing for the day. And she said she would inform them. Apparently she did not.
Great place to camp. Friendly staff. Helpful to those who are new to camping. Handicapped spots close to amenities each section has at least one handicapped site
