Totoket Valley RV Park Introduce
For those navigating the unique needs of long-term travel or professional assignments in the Constitution State, Totoket Valley RV Park offers a specialized and tranquil residential solution. Located in the charming town of North Branford, Connecticut, this family-owned and operated facility has carved out a niche as a quiet, safe, and exceptionally well-maintained haven for RV travelers. Unlike large-scale recreational resorts that prioritize high-volume turnover and loud seasonal activities, Totoket Valley focuses on providing a stable, community-oriented environment that feels more like a private neighborhood than a transient stop.
The park is run with a hands-on approach by a dedicated father-and-son team who take immense pride in the property’s upkeep and the satisfaction of their guests. This personal touch is a hallmark of the Totoket Valley experience; visitors frequently mention the owners' accessibility and willingness to assist with everything from site setup to package deliveries. For local Connecticut residents or those visiting for work, the park represents a reliable anchor in the region, offering a level of security and peace that is highly valued by its core demographic of traveling professionals, contractors, and long-term explorers.
Location and Accessibility
Totoket Valley RV Park is situated at 224 Foxon Road (Route 80) in North Branford, CT 06471. This strategic location is one of its most significant advantages, placing guests just 15 minutes away from the bustling city of New Haven and the prestigious Yale New Haven Hospital. This proximity makes it the premier choice for travel nurses and medical staff looking for a quiet retreat that doesn't sacrifice a short commute. The park is easily accessible via I-95 and I-91, sitting roughly 10 minutes from the interstate, which facilitates effortless travel to surrounding hubs like Bridgeport, Hartford, and the beautiful Connecticut shoreline.
The layout of the park is designed for easy navigation, featuring level gravel pads and a wheelchair-accessible parking lot. The terrain is flat, which simplifies the process of backing in and leveling large motorhomes, fifth wheels, and travel trailers of all sizes. Each site is clearly marked with numbered posts, ensuring that navigation within the park is straightforward even for those arriving after dusk. While the park maintains a peaceful, wooded atmosphere, it is conveniently located near local restaurants, grocery stores, and essential services in North Branford, allowing for a seamless integration of outdoor living and suburban convenience.

What is worth choosing
Choosing Totoket Valley RV Park is a decision that favors quality, security, and a superior location. It is particularly worth choosing if you are a professional working in the New Haven area who requires a home base that is both "safe and quiet." The park’s commitment to providing high-speed internet and full hookups at a single price point—often including electricity in the monthly fee for certain stays—removes the stress of utility management from your busy schedule. The fact that the park is not a traditional "campground" (it does not offer public restrooms or showers) is actually one of its strengths for long-term dwellers, as it limits the influx of weekend crowds and keeps the focus on a stable resident base.
Furthermore, the reputation of the management team is a deciding factor for many. In a world of corporate-owned parks, the "Father & Son" operation at Totoket Valley ensures that your stay is handled with a personal touch that you simply cannot find elsewhere. From the ease of receiving your mail to the meticulously maintained gravel pads that accommodate even the largest big-rig coaches, every detail is considered. If you are looking for a place in Connecticut where you can hear the crickets at night but be at Yale New Haven Hospital in under twenty minutes, Totoket Valley RV Park is undeniably the best choice for your next assignment or travel adventure.
Whether you are staying for a week or a season, the combination of professional infrastructure and hometown hospitality makes this park a standout in the New England RV community. It is a place where you are treated as a neighbor, not just a site number, ensuring that your time in Connecticut is as comfortable as it is productive.

Customer Reviews
Nick is truly one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet. I’m genuinely going to miss our chats and staying at this campground. He’s regularly around the property, and it’s clear he takes real pride in both keeping the grounds well-maintained and making guests feel welcome. We’re travel nurses, and this location has been incredibly convenient to Yale/New Haven. If we come back to the area, we absolutely plan to stay here again.
This RV park is run by a Father & Son, and they are great, super nice and maintain the property well, and always answer the phone no matter time or day when you call. There’s a small office and laundry room. Dog friendly. I spent the last 2 1/2 months here, I’m a traveling contractor. Has full hookups, and at night you can hear crickets and frogs, pretty cool. Every site has a picnic table and clear marked out numbers on posts so it makes getting Amazon packages delivered to your camper easy. You also get a mail box located towards the front of the property for the duration of your stay. It’s safe and quiet. They have daily rates, weekly rates and even long term monthly rates! I’ve definitely enjoyed my stay here, and if I’m ever back this way for work, I’ll definitely be coming here again! Thanks for the great stay guys. 👍
Just what we expected. We were delighted to find an affordable spot with full hook ups just off I-95. It was very hot and we needed AC. When we called they were very clear that it’s not a “campground” and most of the sites were occupied by longer term residents. We were greeted warmly, assisted in finding our spot (8) and were told we could keep our truck hitched to the trailer if desired since it was a 1 night stay.Electric was great, our AC stayed cool, and it was very quiet overnight.Overall very happy. We’ll likely be back, since we have family in the area and could use this as a base for a longer stay.
After days of trying i am giving up. Nobody picks up the phone, it's always straight to voicemail and nobody calls ypu back.Says email them but they give no email. How do these people get new customers.
State RV park is a great little year round RV park. The staff is super helpful and friendly. They gave us time to get all set up before even worrying about payment. When we decided to stay an extra week they accommodate our stay with no issues. There is a nice little spot for dogs to do their business and a nice laundry area. They do not offer showers. And they are not the cheapest place. But definitely quiet and safe
