Walnut Grove Commons Manufactured Home Community Introduce

Walnut Grove Commons Manufactured Home Community stands as a notable residential enclave in the historic region of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. Designed as an all-age community, it provides a welcoming environment for families, young professionals, and retirees alike who are looking for a balance of affordability and quality of life. The community is managed with a focus on creating a neighborhood feel, where residents can enjoy the benefits of homeownership within a structured and supportive environment. As a professional manufactured home community, it caters specifically to those who appreciate the quiet charm of Adams County while remaining close to the cultural and historical heart of the state.

The community is not just a place to reside but a comprehensive housing solution, as Walnut Grove Commons also operates as a mobile home dealer and rental agency. This multifaceted approach allows prospective residents to explore various pathways to moving into the neighborhood, whether they are looking to purchase a brand-new model, find a well-maintained pre-owned home, or enter into a rental agreement. For Pennsylvanians seeking an alternative to high-density apartment living or the steep costs of traditional site-built homes, this community offers a path toward a more spacious and private lifestyle without sacrificing modern conveniences.

Walnut Grove Commons is located at 4820 Old Harrisburg Road, Gettysburg, PA 17325, USA. This location is particularly advantageous for residents who value both rural serenity and urban accessibility. Situated just about 9 miles north of downtown Gettysburg, the community sits along the historic Old Route 15 corridor. This positioning provides quick access to major transportation routes like US-15, making it a convenient hub for commuters traveling toward Harrisburg to the north or Frederick and Washington D.C. to the south. The proximity to local schools within the Upper Adams School District further enhances its appeal to families residing in the area.

In terms of physical accessibility, the community is designed to be inclusive and easy to navigate. The entrance and primary office facilities feature wheelchair-accessible entrances and parking lots, ensuring that all residents and visitors can interact with management and tour the grounds comfortably. The layout of the park consists of paved streets and driveways, providing a clear and stable environment for both pedestrian activity and vehicle traffic. Its location also places residents within a short drive of essential shopping destinations, including local favorites like Mamma's Pizzeria and regional retail hubs like The Outlet Shoppes at Gettysburg.

  • Professional on-site management and maintenance teams to ensure the community remains well-kept and responsive to resident needs.
  • Mobile home sales and dealership services, offering both new and pre-owned manufactured homes with modern floor plans.

Walnut Grove Commons is worth choosing for those who seek a quiet, humble lifestyle in one of Pennsylvania's most iconic regions. The community excels at providing "one-floor living," which is highly sought after by those looking to avoid the stairs and maintenance associated with older multi-story homes in town. With many homes offering over 1,400 to 1,900 square feet of living space, residents find they have plenty of room for home offices, hobby spaces, and entertaining guests, all at a price point that is significantly more accessible than traditional real estate in the Gettysburg area.

Beyond the financial benefits, the community's location in the Upper Adams region offers a high quality of life. Living here means being part of a neighborhood that values its peace and quiet while still being minutes away from top-tier dining, historical tours, and scenic state parks. For families, the presence of on-site amenities like the soccer field and basketball court ensures that children have a place to stay active close to home. If you are looking for an affordable, pet-friendly, and professionally managed community that captures the essence of South Central Pennsylvania living, Walnut Grove Commons stands as a premier choice for your next home.

There is an awful stray/ feral cat population in this community as well as new oxford commons. Property manager is aware and does nothing to fix the issue when complaints are filed against those who feed them (which is against community rules.) rules aren’t followed, management leaves the issue up to community residents to fix. There has been at least 25 stray cats in walnut grove since I’ve been here last year (including born kittens in the neighborhood.) it’s unethical and disturbing, as well as a health hazard when there’s too many of them.

Lived here for twenty years…. Not sure how the office staff keeps their jobs… consistently unfriendly and unhelpful… called after maintenance man blew grass over my car with no response…. Garbage man took something of mine by mistake and I called several times to get the trash people’s name and never got a call back…. And I’ve heard similar experiences from other residents….. totally ridiculous
