This was Our first time at Warrensburg Travel Park, we enjoyed every minute of it! The staff is very attentive & pleasant. We had a site right on the water & it was beautiful. Lots of nature to look around at, we watched a beaver move wood to make a dam & saw a otter swimming around. We fished right from our site which the kids loved.The bathroom's are well managed (better than other parks). Lots of fun activities for the kids to do including bingo & a live band to sing along to. We enjoyed our stay so much we booked the same spot in a couple weeks!
Attended the balloonfest and stayed here, what a cute place. Arrived Thursday and it was so peaceful and clean. Highly recommend site #200…We enjoyed watching the beavers at sunset, and the beach had lots of tree frogs! Friday night came around and what a change…kids were screaming at the top of their lungs at 10:40pm, no regard for others or the quiet time. Didn’t get much sleep so we decided to head home early on Saturday. Would I stay again? Yes…during the week…Thursday was perfect…
Stayed a week in July. Pool was shut down by the state. The River had a green cloudy film floating in it. Showers were not the greatest. Water on the site, smelled like a swamp. Even with ours new filters on, the water left a nasty brown film in our shower, sinks and toilet. I do not recommend using the water hookups here. Especially to brush your teeth! The site itself was not cleaned up from the last campers. We also waited over an hour to even check in. No one was around, and no one would answer the cell phone # provided.
Updated review from 3 star to 1!Due to the unprofessional response! Photos don't lie but you do!We stayed for a full week in July 2025.Upon arrival, we waited about an hour to check in, there was no one in the office, no response from the walkie left at the door, and no answer on the provided phone number.Our campsite was overgrown with tall weeds, littered and so many pine needles. It looked like no one had cleaned up after the previous guests. We had to clear quite a bit of trash before setting up. The picnic table was rusted and worn, and unfortunately, our rug was damaged from that rust.The pool was closed for 5 of the days we were there by the state! The river itself had a greenish tint near the edges, and the mud was excessive. The water really should be tested. The beach area on the river was not maintained at all.The bathrooms were surprisingly well kept, but the showers seemed outdated. They worked, but they could use attentionOn a positive note, the roads throughout the campground were well maintained, and the option for daily pump-outs was convenient, though it would’ve helped to have the Y & N tags explained upon arrival rather than five days in.As for the scheduled activities, the calendar lacked clarity. We arrived at 2:15 for a 2–4 pm event only to find out tickets were already gone, and we hadn’t been told we’d need them. Bingo was enjoyable, but again, there was minimal information, and we had to chase down staff to find the location.Most of the seasonal campers were very friendly. That said, many of the campground rules don’t seem to apply to them, they speed around in golf carts and block the boat launch without consequence. Karl came across as intimidating, though I understand he’s trying to keep things safe. As a fellow business owner, I get it. Still, warning kids they’ll be kicked out just for riding their bikes a way he doesn't like felt excessive. A softer approach would go a long way. We camp frequently throughout the Northeast, and this was the first time we felt unwelcome at the startSince the owner tends to respond to reviews in a passive-aggressive tone, I documented our experience with photos.Overall, this campground has potential, but it’s in need of attention and improvement. We would stay again to only sleep in our camper.
My friends and I have stayed here several times now, and keep coming back!! So much to do here,We live the live music every Saturday night! So much for kids, especially on Sat's they bring in a huge waterslide.. I've seen a VR station..just lots of amenities and extras they do for the people staying here.Shout out to the owner Karl, he went way out of his way to make sure I had the best site for our tents, absolutely nicest guy!!Oh ... And pet friendly too!! And they gave us a free bag of wood and ice when we check in!! Who does that anymore?? Well... Warrensburg Travel Park does!! I could keep going... 😁 Just a nice place to stay!!
