Wildwood RV Resort Introduce

For those who call the Keystone State home, there is a special reverence for what locals often call "God’s Country"—those untouched, mountainous stretches where the air is crisper and the stars shine a little brighter. Wildwood RV Resort, situated in the heart of East Waterford, Pennsylvania, is a premier example of this natural splendor. This women-owned mountain retreat offers a perfect blend of rugged outdoor adventure and modern comfort. Tucked alongside the scenic Tuscarora Mountains, it serves as a peaceful sanctuary for families, solo travelers, and outdoor enthusiasts looking to trade the bustle of the city for the gentle whistling of birds and the rustle of deer in the brush.

The atmosphere at Wildwood is one of genuine hospitality and community. Unlike larger, corporate-run parks, this resort is defined by its clean, tidy facilities and a management team known for going above and beyond for their guests. Whether it is helping a traveler through a treacherous storm or recommending the best local maple syrup for your morning waffles, the personal touch here is unmistakable. It is a place where relationships flourish across generations, making it a favorite for seasonal residents and weekenders alike who seek a safe, quiet, and revitalizing environment.

Location and accessibility are among the resort's strongest features for Pennsylvania travelers. Located at 7310 Horse Valley Rd, East Waterford, PA 17021, Wildwood is conveniently positioned for a quick escape from several major hubs. It is roughly one hour west of Harrisburg and 45 minutes south of Port Royal. For those navigating with larger rigs, the resort provides specific directions to avoid the narrow logging roads and winding mountain passes that GPS units sometimes suggest. Travelers are encouraged to utilize PA-75 North or South for the smoothest journey. Once on the grounds, guests will find a well-organized layout with a wheelchair-accessible entrance, parking lot, and restrooms, ensuring that the beauty of the Tuscarora region is accessible to everyone.

Wildwood RV Resort provides a comprehensive array of onsite services designed to make your stay as seamless as possible. From the fully stocked general store to the convenience of mobile payment options, every detail is managed with the camper's needs in mind. The resort is also a four-season destination, welcoming visitors who want to experience the changing colors of the autumn leaves or the quietude of a Pennsylvania winter.

  • Spacious RV sites with full hookups, including 20, 30, and 50 AMP electric service, water, and sewer.
  • Clean and tidy cabin rentals ranging from primitive units to deluxe cabins with full kitchens and bathrooms.
  • Onsite general store stocked with grocery items, RV supplies, snacks, and local favorites like Hershey’s ice cream.
  • Golf cart rentals for easy navigation across the park's scenic terrain and trails.
  • Firewood and propane sales available directly at the office for cozy evening campfires.
  • Two sets of modern bathhouses and laundry facilities kept to high standards of cleanliness.
  • Secure onsite parking and a free parking lot for visitors and additional vehicles.
  • Payment flexibility accepting credit cards, debit cards, and traditional camping fees.

The features and highlights of Wildwood RV Resort are designed to keep both children and adults entertained throughout their stay. Recreation is a cornerstone of the Wildwood experience, with over 4.5 miles of dedicated trails for hiking and walking that offer stunning views of the valley. The resort also boasts a variety of unique "barrel rides" and themed weekend activities that bring the "camp family" together under the large pavilion. For those who enjoy water activities, the pond and pool areas provide a variety of ways to cool off and relax.

  • Upgraded swimming pool area with a spa and a shaded section for sun protection.
  • A scenic pond featuring a sandy beach for sunning, a gazebo with swings, and paddle boat rentals.
  • Catch-and-release fishing opportunities in a well-stocked pond.
  • Kid-specific attractions including a playground, an arcade, a gaga ball pit, and "Blue Angel" rides.
  • A dedicated dog park and various pet-friendly bag stations located throughout the park.
  • Brand new pickleball court (added in late 2025) for active sports enthusiasts.
  • Themed weekends featuring music, food trucks, and seasonal entertainment for all ages.
  • Direct access to the adjacent Tuscarora State Forest for extended hiking and nature watching.

It was evening of June 25, this year (2025) when my brother and friend were caught in a treacherous storm in east Waterford, PA and the folks at Wildwood were so gracious and staff stayed late that evening and waited for us to show so we could get solid shelter and accommodations with cabin and facilities for laundry to dry our clothes. Their general store was also more than sufficient and the staff recommended frozen waffles and some local amazing maple syrup for the following morning. The cabin was spotless as well as BR facilities and campsite grounds beautiful. Great people, checked on us that evening and next morning. Can’t say enough wonderful things about this place. I’m going back!

Quiet and peaceful campground. Very accommodating and friendly owners! The bath houses were clean and updated! The roads were nice without pot holes, the sites were decent sized with nice picnic tables. The WiFi is an additional charge if you need or want it and it was easy to set up and Fast high speed internet for the campground being nestled in the middle of nowhere! We plan to add to our yearly adventures! There was plenty of trails to go take the golf carts or just to walk!
