Located in Tuckerton, this family-owned and operated destination caters to campers of all stripes, whether you are pitching a traditional tent, pulling in a luxury RV, or seeking the comfort of a climate-controlled cabin. The campground prides itself on a friendly, welcoming environment where staff members are consistently praised for their helpfulness and dedication to guest satisfaction. For many local families, a trip to "the Pines" is an annual tradition that offers a much-needed respite from the fast-paced life of the Tri-State area.
The layout of Atlantic Shore Pines is designed to immerse visitors in nature without sacrificing modern conveniences. Shaded by towering pines, the campsites provide a cooling canopy during the humid New Jersey summers. The community atmosphere is palpable, with planned themed weekends that range from "Christmas in July" to "Wet N’ Wild" adventures, ensuring that there is always a reason to celebrate. Whether you are roasting s'mores by a crackling fire or participating in a park-wide scavenger hunt, the campground serves as a vibrant hub for creating lasting memories with friends and family.
Location and accessibility are among the primary reasons New Jersey residents choose Atlantic Shore Pines. Situated at 450 Ishmael Road in Tuckerton, the campground is strategically located for those who want to experience the best of the coast and the forest. It is approximately a 15-to-20-minute drive from the pristine beaches of Long Beach Island (LBI), and about 30 minutes from the excitement of Atlantic City’s boardwalk and casinos. Its proximity to the Garden State Parkway makes it easily accessible for weekend warriors coming from either North or South Jersey.
For those who enjoy exploring beyond the campground perimeters, the local area is rich with attractions. The historic Tuckerton Seaport is just minutes away, offering a glimpse into the maritime heritage of the region. Nature lovers will appreciate the nearby Edwin B. Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge, which provides incredible opportunities for birdwatching and scenic photography. The campground's location truly offers a "best of both worlds" scenario—quiet, wooded seclusion at night and easy access to world-class beaches and entertainment by day.

What is worth choosing about Atlantic Shore Pines Campground is the exceptional balance it strikes between a rustic woodland retreat and a high-energy family resort. For New Jersey locals, it represents an affordable way to enjoy the Jersey Shore without the high cost of beachfront hotels. The ability to stay in a climate-controlled camping cabin or a luxury lodge makes it accessible even to those who aren't ready to "rough it" in a tent. The meticulously maintained grounds and the frequent cleaning of public facilities reflect a management team that truly cares about the guest experience.
Furthermore, the campground is worth choosing for its community-centric philosophy. It is a place where kids can be kids—riding bikes through the loops, meeting new friends at the playground, and participating in organized crafts. While being in the Pine Barrens requires some common-sense preparation (such as using bug spray for the local mosquito and mite populations), the trade-off is an immersive nature experience that is hard to find elsewhere. With its prime location near LBI and Atlantic City, paired with top-tier on-site amenities, Atlantic Shore Pines stands out as one of the premier camping destinations in the Garden State.

Customer Reviews
The staff is amazing always around to help answer questions. I had a electric and water site was vary nice they collected my trash every day. Showers wear great bathrooms wear cleaned multiple times a day . Over all I look forward to going back
I think that this place is a nice campground and the staff is very friendly. I am writing this to warn anyone with dogs who will be staying there. We recently stayed for 5 days (and we have stayed here prior to this visit) however, on the 3rd day of our stay our dogs were scratching and biting themselves. My one dog practically chewed her tail off and it was bleeding badly. We picked up some allergy medication and cream to apply it to it, assuming it was an allergy with the pollen this year but booked an appointment with our Vet the day we left and found out that they were infected by MITES! My dogs wear Seresto Collar but this will not protect them from mites. I only want to share this to keep your pets safe. Unsure if the campground sprays the grounds but you will need to give your pet BRAVECTO. As much as we liked it here, our pets are our babies and we will not be returning. Better to be safe!
Had a wonderful 4th of July weekend. Very clean great campsites. Lots of activities for kids. Pool was alittle crowded but that was to be expected with a holiday weekend.
This place was incredible. The whole family had a great time!EDIT: I have to remove stars this year because I was staying with my 3 kids alone and left for a flash flood warning and they DOUBLE BOOKED MY SITE WHILE I WAS AWAY!! Even though I had it until 1pm the next day! This is unacceptable and I paid way too much for that site for them to double book it from under me and not even offer to give money back. I was coming back because my parents were still at the site behind mine and never checked out!! We were coming back for our 3rd year in a row and previously gave 5 stars. Will not be back because they took advantage of me not risking the flash flood warning alone with 3 kids in a tent. I understand when they say no refunds for weather but they got paid twice for the same site and assumed I wasn't coming back. My parents had to call and tell me someone stole my site. Very greedy.
Camp ground had sand in woods, no pads for RV to drive onto and it had varies bugs and ticks. They did not honor good Sam membership. The staff was not friendly. We were disappointed and will not return.
