What is worth choosing about Bear Creek Lake Resort is the sheer variety of experiences it offers within a single, secure location. While many campgrounds offer peace and quiet, few can match the 40 miles of dedicated ATV trails that allow riders to explore the wilderness safely. For families, the resort's commitment to being "good for kids" is evident in the lake's incredible fishing success rates—with some young anglers catching dozens of fish in a single trip. Choosing Bear Creek means choosing a property where the owners are personally invested in the guest experience, often found working on improvements to ensure every cabin and campsite meets high standards of cleanliness and comfort.

Furthermore, the resort is worth choosing for its ongoing transformation. By staying here, you are participating in the revival of a historic New York landmark that has served as a sanctuary for outdoor lovers for over a century. The blend of new infrastructure—like the updated sports courts and modern RV hookups—with the timeless beauty of the 750-acre forest creates a balanced retreat. Whether you are looking to "rough it" in a tent, enjoy the convenience of a modern RV, or relax in a fully furnished cabin, Bear Creek Lake Resort provides a tailored experience. It is a destination that proves you don't have to choose between adventure and relaxation; in Franklinville, you can truly have both.

My family and I had a great experience. It was our first time taking our new camper out and everything was so easy to set up. Very quiet and relaxing. My son loves to fish and he caught over 20 fish while we were there. Weill definitely be back.

As a seasonal camper and an avid ATVer, I have seen this gem take shape over the last 5 months. Kyle and Tammy have worked tirelessly 7 days a week to complete large and small projects while still making all guests feel welcome. There are no other ATV parks in this area and I am so thrilled to have a place for me and friends to ride ATVs and side by sides. I am looking forward to seasons to come to see the entire transformation of this campground. The recently renovated cabins and recreational building are awesome and are a must see. I always recommend to my friends to come to camp and enjoy. We are fortunate to have this property back open!

What an awesome place to camp. Besides the camping, they offer 40 miles of ATV trails (the trails were so much fun), a lake to canoe or paddle boat on as well as fishing. The owners are fantastic!

They dont like post that say the truth. This place was horribly run with rude drunks. Yell at their campers and tell them to leave just for asking a simple question. Their cabins are full of mold and mice. The only time I see maintaining is when they have something going on like the grand opening please dont waste ur time .
