Stayed here in September during a bicycle trip across PA. Quiet on a Sunday. Clean restrooms. Good grass. River access. Walk-in access to the camping area, so you don’t have vehicles driving by. Heard a noisy owl. Just wish they would add food storage lockers.
Great spot to camp, quiet and right along the bike trail. We go every year and bring the kids.
Nice area, but having to walk a mile to the camp sites is exhausting. When I got to my site, there were people in the spot I reserved, that didn’t leave until 7pm. 4 hours after they were supposed to be gone. They left the site a mess and destroyed a bunch of the vegetation around the site. With no authority there to remove them, they didn’t care about others.Honestly, there are a lot better camp sites around. Go to those, not this one.
Very nice park to camp in, rangers come by and check on you at least once a day, it was rather quiet when we were there, we did see one baby bear cub. It was a very enjoyable experience. Just make sure you have enough stuff because the stores that are around there are extremely expensive.
