Brookside Campgrounds Introduce

Brookside Campgrounds offers a quintessential outdoor experience for families and travelers seeking the natural beauty of the Great Northern Catskills. Located in the town of Catskill, New York, this family-owned and operated facility serves as a tranquil haven where the stress of modern life is replaced by the soothing sounds of a babbling trout stream. The campground is strategically positioned at the edge of the Catskill Mountains, providing stunning mountain views to the west and the refreshing waters of Kiskatom Brook to the east. Whether you are looking for a weekend getaway or a seasonal home, Brookside provides a professional yet warm atmosphere that emphasizes quality family time and relaxation.

What sets Brookside Campgrounds apart is its genuine commitment to guest experience, led by owners who are frequently praised for their kind and welcoming demeanor. The grounds are meticulously maintained to foster a peaceful environment, while still offering a vibrant schedule of activities that keep children and adults engaged. From magic shows and movie nights to the simple joy of visiting the friendly barn animals on-site, the community atmosphere is designed to feel like a second home. The campground is also a proud participant in the Tents for Troops program, reflecting its deep roots in the community and its dedication to supporting those who serve.

Location and accessibility are major highlights for New York residents. Situated at 4952 NY-32, the campground is easily accessible for those traveling via the New York State Thruway. For those coming from the south, taking Exit 21 and following Route 23 to Route 32 South makes for a straightforward journey. Travelers from the north can utilize Exit 87, followed by a scenic 10-mile drive on Route 32 North. Its position just outside of Catskill Park means that guests are perfectly placed to explore the broader region, including world-famous attractions like Kaaterskill Falls and the Zoom Flume Water Park.

The facility is designed to accommodate various camping styles, from traditional tent enthusiasts to those with large RV rigs up to 45 feet in length. The internal roads are well-maintained, and the layout features open sites free of low-hanging pine trees, which is a significant benefit for RV owners who want to avoid debris and rooftop scratches. Furthermore, the campground prioritizes inclusivity, featuring a wheelchair-accessible entrance, accessible parking lots, and updated restroom facilities that cater to all guests' needs. On-site parking is ample, and the presence of a well-stocked camp store ensures that essentials are always within reach.

  • RV camping with full hookups including 30-amp and 50-amp electric, water, and sewer.
  • Deluxe camping cabins and cottages equipped with full kitchens and bathrooms.
  • Dedicated tenting areas for small groups and large gatherings.
  • A well-stocked camping store featuring firewood, ice, and allergy-friendly snack options.
  • Modern bathhouse facilities with private hot showers and individual family-style restrooms.

The features at Brookside Campgrounds are tailored to provide a mix of active play and serene nature. What is worth choosing about Brookside Campgrounds is the authentic, family-centric culture that has been cultivated over years of operation. In a market where many campgrounds are becoming corporate-owned and impersonal, Brookside remains a bastion of personal touch and community care. It is worth choosing for the safety of its gated environment, the cleanliness of its modern facilities, and the variety of its lodging options. Whether you are staying in a luxury cabin with all the comforts of home or pitching a tent under the starlit Catskill sky, the quality of your stay is the top priority for the staff.

Furthermore, the campground offers a rare balance between a "quiet and peaceful" atmosphere and a "fun-filled" recreational schedule. Residents frequently mention that while there are plenty of events like "Halloween in August" or "Christmas in July," the campground maintains a level of quiet respect that allows for true relaxation. For New Yorkers looking to "take back their life" and reconnect with nature and family, Brookside Campgrounds provides the perfect landscape to do exactly that. With its competitive pricing, high-quality amenities, and unbeatable location near the heart of the Catskills, it stands as a premier choice for any local outdoor enthusiast.

In bookside Campground you can't even talk, you are allowed to put music till 11 and we stopped the music at 10:50 and the security guard came and said to stop being loud when we were being silence and he came 3 times and we didn't like it, we wanted to see the stars and the security guard game again and said that we were being annoying and that we were going though other camps, and he called the manager and we talked to them and we were told that we couldn't make a lot of noise, at this point it felt like harassment. Not coming back
