Very clean, very hospitable, everything for any kind of camping in one place.
When I go camping I go for a quiet escape from the noise pollution near home. While I expect to hear families having fun at a family campground, I did not expect the constant road noise. The road that borders the camp is in a valley so the noise from it travels. If you're going camping for some safe, family-friendly fun with little bit of adventure, this might be the campground for you. If you're looking for a quiet sanctuary in nature, unless you're able to ignore the road noise, there are quieter campgrounds than this one.
Great place to go camping with your family. I have been going for over 20 years and it is always a great time. There are many things to do and friendly and helpful staff. They are working on many renovations to keep it up to date.
Fabulous camp site with new restroom and shower facilities. Lots of parking and walking opportunities. Pool area is so much fun for the adults and kids. Strawberry and ice cream weekends are a highlight. The small store stocks all the essentials and toys. Beautiful creek to play in with fresh water. Your kids will sleep well. Bring a bike and camera. Sunday worship is a must stay for.
This place has deteriorated significantly under new ownership. The splash pad, once a popular attraction open all day, is now fenced off due to the recent addition of a swimming pool, which is only accessible when a lifeguard is present. This new swimming pool is disappointingly small.Additionally, the splash pad has been plagued with issues, remaining non-functional during both of our visits over the last two summers. There are also ongoing problems with the light timers near the basketball and volleyball courts. One summer, the lights stayed on all night, while this year, they failed to turn on at all, resulting in campers losing several hours of access to those amenities over the course of their stay.Firewood used to be available 24/7 through an honor system - just drop $5 into a box, fill a wheelbarrow (level), and take it to your fire pit. Now, it costs $8 for less wood, comes pre-wrapped, and is only available when the camp store is open, with no wheelbarrow provided for transport. The food service has also raised eyebrows with its pricing. A pulled chicken BBQ sandwich, coleslaw, and chips costs $14, with an additional $2 for a drink, which is ludicrous.
