Cherry Hill Park Introduce

For Marylanders seeking a world-class camping experience without leaving the state, Cherry Hill Park in College Park serves as the gold standard for outdoor hospitality. This family-owned and operated destination has been managed by the Gurevich family for five generations, evolving from a 1920s poultry farm into one of the highest-rated RV resorts in the United States. Located in Prince George's County, it offers a unique blend of "urban camping" and resort-style relaxation, providing a peaceful, wooded atmosphere just a stone's throw from the bustling energy of the Capital Beltway. Whether you are a seasoned RVer or a local family looking for your first glamping adventure, this park combines Maryland heritage with modern luxury.

The park is widely recognized for its commitment to inclusivity and excellence. Identifying as a women-owned business, Cherry Hill Park has cultivated an environment that is both LGBTQ+ friendly and a recognized transgender safe space. This welcoming spirit extends to the meticulous care of the grounds and facilities. Visitors often remark on the pristine condition of the bathhouses and the helpfulness of the staff, who go above and beyond to provide sightseeing advice or assist with on-site needs. It is a destination that proves you don't have to travel far to find a top-tier vacation spot that feels like a home away from home.

Location and Accessibility are among the most significant advantages for Maryland residents. Situated at 9800 Cherry Hill Rd, College Park, MD 20740, the park is positioned at the intersection of I-95 and I-495, making it incredibly easy to reach from Baltimore, Silver Spring, or Annapolis. One of its standout features is the seamless connection to the Washington DC Metro system; a dedicated bus stop at the park entrance transports guests directly to the College Park-U of MD Metro station. Accessibility is a core priority here, with the facility featuring wheelchair accessible entrances, parking lots, restrooms, and seating areas. This ensures that the park’s many amenities—from the swimming pools to the walking trails—are available to every guest.

Services Offered at Cherry Hill Park are designed to make the camping experience as effortless as possible. Recognizing that modern campers value both convenience and connectivity, the park provides comprehensive onsite services that rival high-end hotels. From full hookups for the largest motorhomes to specialized concierge services for regional tourism, the offerings are extensive:

  • Full RV hookups including electric, sewer, and water at all sites.
  • Heated water spigots at every site to ensure year-round camping comfort, even in winter.
  • On-site Bus Depot with direct transit links to the DC Metro and guided city tours.
  • A well-stocked Camping Store and RV supply shop offering groceries, souvenirs, and technical parts.
  • Concierge service for sightseeing tips, transit passes, and local recommendations.
  • Propane, firewood, and ice delivery directly to your campsite or cabin.
  • 24/7 laundry facilities located in multiple areas of the park for guest convenience.
  • High-speed streaming-quality WiFi accessible throughout the entire property.
  • On-site Cafe serving meals and snacks, with seasonal delivery options.

Features and Highlights of the park turn a simple camping trip into a resort vacation. The property is packed with activities that cater to all ages and interests. While many guests use the park as a basecamp for exploring the capital, many Maryland locals choose to stay specifically for the on-site amenities. The highlights include a mix of active recreation and serene relaxation areas:

  • Two solar-heated swimming pools and a modern splash park for children.
  • Relaxation center featuring a hot tub and a sauna, open year-round.
  • Professional 18-hole mini-golf course and a dedicated grass-surface Gaga Pit.
  • Three separate playgrounds and an indoor game room for younger guests.
  • Multiple fenced Dog Parks and a dedicated dog run for pet exercise.
  • Outdoor fitness area and a 24-hour exercise room for staying active.
  • A 1.3-mile walking trail and access to the 40+ mile Anacostia Riverwalk Trail.
  • The "Reflecting Pond" for catch-and-release fishing, stocked with bass and bluegill.
  • Seasonal tractor rides and family movie nights at the outdoor pavilion.

Cherry Hill was perfect for our families needs. The park is spacious, clean, and well appointed. The amount of fall foliage we were able to see was truly incredible. The bath houses are spacious and clean. Every member of the staff was helpful, kind, and informative. The office store is well stocked and organized with all kinds of souvenirs as well as other helpful and necessary items.Multiple trash bins in fairly close proximity to all lots, but we did notice a lack of pet waste/bag stations. We unfortunately didn’t stay as long as we’d have liked so we weren’t able to enjoy all the park has to offer but that is not a reflection of CH and solely on our travel plans and the cold snap that rolled through.Beautiful park, spacious with more lots to come soon. I highly recommend it if you're visiting the Washington/Baltimore area with pets.

A must when visiting DC. We stayed over the Christmas/New Years week so it was cold but the campground was great. Each site had a heated spigot provided by the campground. We filled out tanks up since we forgot out heated water hose at home. The bus from the campground to the Metro & Metro to the city were flawless. NOTE: Get to the bus stop early! We missed our bus one day & had to UBER (only ($12 so not bad & a 5 min ride!). All around great trip & highly recommend.

We stayed here in our 5th wheel in order to visit DC. It was well kept and so convenient to get into the city. The office staff was amazing and so very helpful in explaining the metro system. The ground looked amazing and would be so much fun in the summer. (We were there in the winter, so we didn't use any of it.) We will definitely use this location again when we return.

We loved this campground! The process of checking in and out was a breeze. The campground is laid out very well. It's super clean on the grounds and in the bathhouses. The walking trail is well maintained, as are the other amenities. We had food from the cafe that was really good, the service was quick, and the young ladies working there were very friendly and helpful. We do not have one complaint about Cherry Hill and look forward to coming back!

I’m in a 45’ 5th wheel. Stopped for a quick overnight. It was easy to get here off the highway. The staff was friendly, check in was very quick. My site was big enough that I didn’t have to disconnect and very level. I will definitely be back here again.
