When considering which campground is worth choosing in the Southern Tier, Ferenbaugh Campground stands out for its flexibility and hospitality. Real guest experiences frequently highlight the "great, friendly service" provided by the staff, which can make all the difference when planning a group outing or a family vacation. The staff is known for being super flexible, which is a major benefit for New Yorkers with busy schedules who may need to adjust their arrival or departure details. The clean and comfortable cabins are a highlight for those who aren't ready to fully commit to tent life, providing a cozy "home away from home" experience.

Additionally, the campground is worth choosing because of its focus on the "pull-through" experience for RVers. Many veteran campers prefer these sites because they eliminate the stress of backing into tight spaces, and Ferenbaugh's sites are described as being part of a "beautiful campground" where cleanliness and quiet are the standard. While the restroom facilities are noted as being older and in need of occasional upgrades, they remain functional and are a trade-off for the exceptional service and prime location. For those who want a kid-friendly environment where dogs are welcome and the hiking is right at your doorstep, this Corning destination is a highly recommended choice for your next New York camping adventure.

In summary, Ferenbaugh Campground represents the best of local New York hospitality. It is a place where the staff remembers your name, the kids have plenty of room to run, and the beauty of the woods is always just a few steps away. Whether you are stopping through on your way to the Finger Lakes wineries or looking for a permanent summer base, this campground offers the facilities and the heart to make your stay enjoyable and memorable.

We've camped here a few times in the pull through sites. Beautiful campground with very nice staff. Most of the time, things were clean and quiet. Only one incidence of 15 people tenting nearby. They were constantly screaming & fighting & trashed the restroom facilities which made for a bad 3 out of 4 day experience.

Stayed 1 week in the meadow section of the park. Hillside sites seem to be mostly full-time guests. Beautiful views and fairly quiet... until the train! We love trains and luckily they don't pass very often. However, when they do, you not only hear it, you feel it. Pretty creek runs thru the middle of the park. Laundry machines could use a good cleaning. Guests seem to wash dog beds and blankets. I based this on the fact that our clothes were covered in hair after we washed them. Luckily, the dryer got most of it off. Staff are friendly and helpful. We would stay here again.

We chose this campground because of its proximity to Corning, NY. Since we were going to be staying for a week, we also liked having a full hookup site. The location is extremely convenient to Corning, and also reasonably convenient to the Watkins Glen and the heart of the Finger Lakes region of New York. If your focus is doing things in Corning, this is probably the best choice in the area compared to the other nearby campgrounds.Site 11C. Back-in FHU 40/30/20, water with low pressure, 4" threaded sewer with issues (see below), cable TV with lots of snow-free channels. Dirt / river rock pad. Deeply wooded. On the dining room side of the coach, there is nothing but woods. Same for behind the coach. On the kitchen side, you can see two other campsites, but there is room for the awning and then some.Picnic table, fire ring. The campground has two main sections. The one we were in has widely spaced sites set in a heavily wooded area. The road leading to these sites is a mixture of dirt and rocks and is pretty rough, though the coach was able to navigate them. There are only three sites in this part with sewer: 11A, 11B and 11C. Most of the other sites appear to be long-term sites. Some of them have trailers that are quite rough looking, though everyone we passed seemed nice. The other section is on the other side of the railroad tracks - literally. They appear to be all pull-through FHU, some 50-amp, some 30-amp. They have standard commercial campground configuration and spacing.Tire noise from NY-414 can be heard outside the RV, but not inside. The train can easily be heard inside the RV though it only ran a few times during our stay. I would imagine it would be much more of an issue on the pull-through sites.Office staff is very nice and responsive to issues. As far as the sewer is concerned, I was grateful we had a clear threaded elbow connector between the hose and the 4" threaded sewer connection because the sewer backed up. After waiting for 5-10 minutes, the sewer line drained to the point where there was no longer sewage in the elbow. Over the course of the next hour or so, I was able to full dump, a little at a time. I mentioned this to the office and they offered to send their honey wagon, but I decided to just use the dump site when we left.Fairly large, reasonably well-stocked camp store with lots of camping supplies, some fishing supplies, and some grocery items.Verizon - goes between 1 bar and SOS. No data. AT&T data - 49.65 Mbps down, 6.16 Mbps up.Campground does have WiFi but it did not show up on either of our phones in the coach. There was live music Friday night that could be easily heard inside the coach. It wasn't so loud that it was a major issue but for some I guess it could be.Three washing machines, three dryers. $2.00 per load. The laundry room had an unpleasant odor the first time we went, but it was okay on subsequent visits.
