In a world where many campgrounds are becoming increasingly crowded and loud, Loop D remains a bastion for those who truly want to "enjoy peace in nature." While some sites in the park can be closer together, the lack of electric hookups in this loop tends to attract a more traditional camping crowd—people who are there for the hiking, the fishing, and the simple joy of a campfire. Loop D is a no pet camping section. There are no sites with electricity in this loop. All loops have their own modern bathrooms and shower building. For more information about French Creek watch my you tube video at: thePAparksman
If you are coming to enjoy peace in nature don’t come here.Sites are close together and loud. My friend had his gear stolen while we were hiking. The people at the site across from us have a spotlight which points toward our site. They partied until the rangers shut them down then finally turned the spotlight off around 11:30. So much for enjoying the stars.
