Glencrest Mobile Home Park, by Valley Community Management Introduce
For residents of Eastern Pennsylvania seeking a balance between the charm of the countryside and the convenience of suburban life, Glencrest Mobile Home Park offers a compelling residential option. Located in Slatington, Lehigh County, and managed by Valley Community Management (VCM), this established community is known for its peaceful atmosphere and stunning views of the surrounding Northern Lehigh landscape. Spanning over a mile, the park is characterized by a picturesque tree-lined boulevard and beautifully maintained cul-de-sacs, creating a neighborhood feel that stands out in the region. Whether you are a young professional, a growing family, or a retiree looking for a quieter pace of life, Glencrest provides a scenic backdrop for high-quality manufactured home living.
The community has a long-standing history in the Neffs and Rising Sun area, having been family-built and owned for over 50 years before transitioning to its current professional management. This legacy is reflected in the park's layout, which prioritizes open space and recreation. In a region where housing costs continue to rise, Glencrest remains a significant choice for those who value homeowner-occupied communities. Residents often cite the "stunning views" and the "very quiet" environment as primary reasons for choosing this location. While recent shifts in ownership have brought changes to the fee structures and service frequencies, the core appeal of the park’s natural beauty and its strategic location in the Lehigh Valley continues to attract new residents seeking a serene place to call home.
Location and accessibility are two of the strongest attributes of Glencrest Mobile Home Park. Situated on Glencrest Road in Slatington (PA 18080), the park is nestled off Route 873, placing it in a prime position between the towns of Neffs and Slatington. This location is particularly advantageous for commuters, as it is just minutes away from major thoroughfares, including the Pennsylvania Turnpike (I-476). A 15-minute drive connects residents to Allentown and Route 22, providing easy access to the employment hubs, medical facilities, and shopping centers of the greater Lehigh Valley. The community is also part of the Northern Lehigh School District, making it a viable option for families with school-aged children.
Within the community itself, accessibility has been integrated into the infrastructure to support residents of all mobility levels. The park features a wheelchair-accessible entrance and a wheelchair-accessible parking lot at the main office and community areas. The streets are designed to accommodate both pedestrian activity and vehicle traffic safely, with dedicated two-car parking pads typically provided at individual homesites. For those who enjoy local travel, the park's proximity to Schnecksville and the various parks along the Lehigh River offers endless opportunities for weekend exploration without a long drive. This blend of rural tranquility and proximity to the Interstate makes it a highly accessible enclave in a growing part of Pennsylvania.
The services offered at Glencrest are designed to maintain the community's standards while providing residents with essential utilities and support. Valley Community Management oversees the daily operations, ensuring that the community's rules and regulations are upheld to preserve the quiet and clean environment that residents expect. The management team is often described as friendly and professional, providing a point of contact for leasing inquiries and community maintenance issues.

When considering a move within the Slatington area, Glencrest Mobile Home Park is worth choosing because it provides an established, safe, and exceptionally quiet neighborhood at a price point that is accessible for many Pennsylvanians. For families, it is worth choosing for the abundance of on-site recreation; having a basketball court, tennis court, and a dog park right within your community adds significant value to daily life. For those on a fixed income or looking to downsize, the park offers the stability of a homeowner-occupied environment where the rules are designed to protect the "peaceful living" that has been the park's hallmark for over half a century.
Furthermore, the "stunning views" and the "cute" aesthetic of the homesites make it a visually appealing place to reside. While the transition to new ownership has introduced modern business practices and adjusted fee structures, the fundamental character of the park as a quiet mountain-view retreat remains unchanged. If you prioritize a professional management team and a location that is close to the Interstate yet feels worlds away from the city noise, choosing Glencrest by Valley Community Management is a logical step toward finding your ideal Pennsylvania home. It is a community where the natural beauty of the Lehigh Valley is literally right outside your front door.

Customer Reviews
This place has gone downhill since the new ownership has taken over. The rent has gone way up, while the amount of services the park provides has gone way down.Garbage collection has gone from twice a week to once a week. On top of that, the new garbage company leaves half your trash sitting each week.2 rent increases this year already. A traditional increase, and now they found a way to charge us for well water that has always been included in the rent before.Forced residents to change their heating source.Making residents carry insurances they don't want or need..... I could keep going, but there's no point. Now, if only my pay would go up at the same rate that Glencrest increases your living expenses, it wouldn't be a problem, but that's simply not reality. It's a beautiful peaceful park, but it's not like it used to be. It's been turned into a profit driven business where they're reaching in your wallet every chance they get. All my neighbors feel the same way, as most are on a fixed income and suffer each time they hit us for more money. The new management team is nice at least, at least the ones I've dealt with, I'll give them that. That's the saving grace of this review, and what kept this at 3 stars.
My daughter and her bf just moved in here. Cute place, close to the Interstate, very quiet with stunning views. They just put a dog park in..
Nice mobile home park. I wish they would have better up keep with the basketball courts. Also, the hours the office people say they will be there does not mean they will be there. And they don't plow that well in the winter. The one big plus is that cable is included in the rent, along with water/sewage. And for that they get 4/5 stars.
There's no newer reviews? Is this updated now and then?
Really nice mobile home park. They even have storage for larger items (boats, trailers, RVs, extra vehicles, etc) available. The residents are almost all very friendly and the front office does what it can to take care of problems. Lot rent is on the higher side (over $500) but does include amenities like tennis and basketball courts and playgrounds for the kids. Occasional and random issues with maintenance (bee nests by mailboxes handled very slowly, that sort of thing) but overall a really nice place to live.
