The resort’s philosophy centers on community and a deep-seated passion for the outdoors. Over the years, it has evolved from a quiet camping spot into a premier destination that offers a variety of "stay your way" options. Guests can choose from traditional primitive tent sites for an authentic unplugged experience, full-hookup RV sites for modern travelers, or luxury accommodations like the newly introduced A-frame tiny homes and the expansive Greene Hills Manor for large group gatherings. This versatility makes it a standout choice for everything from solo fishing trips on the river to large-scale family reunions and elegant riverside weddings.
Located at 6270 Barree Rd, Alexandria, PA 16611, Greene Hills Resort and Campground is exceptionally easy to access while maintaining a sense of secluded privacy. For families, the proximity to Altoona’s DelGrosso’s Park and Laguna Splash provides an easy day-trip option for added excitement. The local geography is a major draw for anglers, as the Little Juniata River is famous for its trout fishing, with the campground providing direct and private river access for its guests.
The facility is designed with inclusivity in mind, ensuring that all visitors can enjoy the grounds comfortably. What is worth choosing at Greene Hills is the rare combination of a rugged outdoor setting with high-end resort touches.
