Hidden Harbor Campground and Marina Introduce

Hidden Harbor Campground and Marina is a serene and welcoming outdoor destination located in the heart of Three Mile Bay, New York. Situated on the scenic Point Peninsula, this campground serves as a premier gateway to the eastern shores of Lake Ontario and the world-renowned Thousand Islands region. For New York residents and visitors seeking a balance between rural tranquility and modern convenience, Hidden Harbor provides a "home away from home" atmosphere where the natural beauty of the lake meets a vibrant, close-knit community of seasonal campers. Whether you are an avid angler looking for the best bass fishing in the state or a family searching for a quiet summer retreat, this facility offers a unique lifestyle centered around the water.

The campground is set on a sprawling 29-acre tract of land, offering plenty of space for recreation and relaxation. Unlike transient parks that cater to short-term travelers, Hidden Harbor is primarily a seasonal community, allowing guests to establish deep roots and long-lasting friendships. The park is managed with a professional yet friendly touch, ensuring that the grounds are well-maintained while preserving the relaxed, informal spirit that defines Adirondack-style camping. With its protected harbor and panoramic views of Lake Ontario, Hidden Harbor is a place where generations of families have spent their summers watching spectacular sunsets and enjoying the refreshing lake breezes.

Location and accessibility are among the top reasons why local New Yorkers choose Hidden Harbor. Located at 4813 Hidden Harbor Rd, Three Mile Bay, NY 13693, the campground is tucked away from the noise of major highways but remains easily accessible for those towing large RVs or trailers. Point Peninsula is a well-known landmark in Jefferson County, accessible via a short drive from the village of Chaumont and approximately 25 miles from the city of Watertown. The park's geographic position within the "Narrows" provides a sheltered environment for boaters, making it an ideal base for exploring nearby Sackets Harbor, Cape Vincent, and Clayton. For those traveling from Central New York or the Hudson Valley, the park is a straightforward journey via Interstate 81 and State Route 12E.

The services offered at Hidden Harbor Campground and Marina are designed to support a full season of outdoor living. The facility is equipped with the necessary infrastructure to accommodate modern RVs, while the integrated marina ensures that watercraft are always ready for an excursion. Management provides a range of logistical supports, from metered electricity to boat launch assistance, creating a seamless experience for those who spend months at a time on the peninsula. The park operates on a seasonal schedule, typically opening in early May and running through October, aligning with the best weather the North Country has to offer.

What is worth choosing when considering a campground in Northern New York? Hidden Harbor is worth choosing for the sense of belonging it provides. While many parks offer the same basic hookups, few can replicate the community spirit found here, where families have returned for decades. It is worth choosing for the boater who values a protected harbor on Lake Ontario, eliminating the stress of high-water concerns or rough lake conditions. The "Hidden" in the name is literal; it offers a level of privacy and seclusion that is rare in the more commercialized areas of the Thousand Islands.

Furthermore, the investment in a seasonal site at Hidden Harbor allows New Yorkers to enjoy a high-quality vacation lifestyle without the maintenance burden of a second home. The ability to leave your RV and boat in a secure, friendly environment means you can spend more time on the water and less time in transit. For those who prioritize safety, a family-friendly atmosphere, and some of the best fishing in the Northeast, Hidden Harbor Campground and Marina stands as a premier choice. It is a place where the sunsets are a daily celebration and every weekend feels like a homecoming.

I have had my own place here for 11 seasons, and have been on Point Peninsula for 39 years. It is a beautiful place. The community that the campers build is what makes this place feel like home and makes friends feel like family. We have fun events, camp fires, parties, and more!
