Lakeview Camp Sites Introduce
For those seeking a tranquil escape in the heart of New York’s world-renowned Finger Lakes region, Lakeview Camp Sites offers a uniquely welcoming and scenic experience. Perched on a hillside overlooking the eastern shores of Keuka Lake, this women-owned campground is a hidden gem that caters to travelers looking for more than just a place to park. The property is characterized by its breathtaking vistas, where the glimmering waters of the lake meet the rolling, vineyard-covered hills of the Y-shaped Keuka Lake. Whether you are a local New Yorker looking for a weekend "staycation" or a traveler exploring the famous wine trails of Steuben and Yates Counties, this campground provides a peaceful home base that feels both intimate and expansive.
The atmosphere at Lakeview Camp Sites is defined by its inclusive and friendly spirit. As a business that identifies as women-owned and proudly LGBTQ+ friendly, the campground fosters an environment of safety, respect, and community. The hosts are frequently praised by visitors for their responsiveness and dedication to guest comfort, often going above and beyond to accommodate specific needs, such as finding level ground during rainy weather or providing local tips for the best sunset viewing spots. It is a place where diversity is celebrated, and the natural beauty of the landscape is preserved for everyone to enjoy, making it a standout choice in the Dundee area.
Location and Accessibility are among the campground's greatest assets. Situated at 14916 NY-54 in Dundee, NY, the site is perfectly positioned along the Keuka Lake Wine Trail. This prime location means that some of the region's best wineries, such as McGregor Vineyard and Glenora Wine Cellars, are just a short drive away. While the access road is a gravel incline that adds to the camp's rustic charm, the site itself has been designed to be accessible to a wide variety of guests. The campground is approximately 25 minutes away from major retail hubs, ensuring that you can enjoy the "unplugged" feel of the woods while remaining within easy reach of modern conveniences.
- Strategically located on NY-54 with a prominent entrance sign and flag for easy identification.
- Wheelchair accessible entrance designed to accommodate guests with mobility challenges.
- Dedicated wheelchair accessible restroom facilities and designated accessible seating areas.
- On-site parking is provided for all guests, including a free parking lot for visitors.
- The campground overlooks the eastern side of Keuka Lake, offering unobstructed sunset views.
- Close proximity to the Windmill Farm & Craft Market, a popular local Saturday destination.
Services Offered at Lakeview Camp Sites prioritize the needs of modern campers while maintaining a connection to traditional outdoor living. The campground offers onsite services that cater specifically to RV enthusiasts and tent campers alike. With a focus on quality over quantity, the sites are managed to ensure that every guest has access to essential utilities and well-maintained communal areas. The presence of the owner, Lori, ensures a high level of accountability and personalized service that is often missing in larger, state-run facilities.
- RV camping sites featuring both electric and water hookups (30 Amp service available).
- Designated tent sites for those who prefer a more traditional, "back-to-basics" experience.
- Public restroom and shower facilities equipped with running water and kept to high cleanliness standards.
- On-site service options where the host assists with site navigation and set-up questions.
- Waste management services including a sanitary dump station for RV travelers.
- Flexible payment options, including the acceptance of checks and standard camping fees.
Features and Highlights of the campground make it a favorite for photographers and nature lovers. The primary highlight is, without a doubt, the "unfiltered" view of Keuka Lake. Many guests note that pictures simply do not do justice to the vibrant colors of the sunsets over the water. For those who enjoy active recreation, the campground features access to hiking trails directly from the property. One notable trail at the top of the hill offers a scenic trek through the woods, providing a great way for families to explore the local flora and fauna. The campground is also "dogs allowed," ensuring that your four-legged family members can join in on the adventure.
- Stunning lake views from many of the sites, particularly the highly recommended Site 23.
- Individual picnic tables at each site for outdoor dining and social gatherings.
- Kid-friendly atmosphere with gentle hikes suitable for children of all ages.
- Pet-friendly policies that welcome well-behaved dogs.
- A quiet, secure environment that is perfect for those looking to avoid the noise of larger commercial parks.
- Proximity to Keuka Lake State Park for expanded swimming and boating opportunities.
Contact Information for Lakeview Camp Sites is essential for those looking to secure a spot during the busy Finger Lakes summer season. What is worth choosing about Lakeview Camp Sites is the combination of its boutique, personal feel and its unparalleled geographical position. In the Finger Lakes, you can find many places to stay, but few offer the direct, elevated views of the water paired with the genuine hospitality of a women-owned local business. It is worth choosing if you value a "safe space" where LGBTQ+ travelers and families are treated with the utmost respect and warmth. The small scale of the campground means you won't feel like just another number in a crowded lot; instead, you get to experience the charm of Dundee from the perspective of a welcomed guest.
Furthermore, the campground strikes a perfect balance between the rustic and the refined. You are close enough to the "Wine Country" action to spend your days tasting world-class Rieslings, yet you can return to a quiet campfire and a sunset that rivals any in the Northeast. For local New Yorkers, it represents the best of the Finger Lakes: agricultural roots, natural beauty, and a community-minded spirit. If you are looking for a place where the host knows your name, the facilities are clean, and the view is "awesome" without any filters, Lakeview Camp Sites is the definitive choice for your next Keuka Lake excursion.

Amazing experience, host was very responsive and helpful to make sure we had everything that was needed. Great views of the lake, sunset was gorgeous, you should stay here if you're staying in the area! No filters on the pictures, its just that awesome of a view. We will certainly be staying here next time we're up this way!
Lori was super nice upon arrival. Quick responses when asking follow-up questions. She was accommodating since it rained earlier, but we were able to park our camper on site 23. This is the best spot in the campground. There's a trail at the top of the hill to the right. This campground is about 25 minutes from major box stores. I highly recommend this campground. Yes, there are electric and water hookups.
Just got back from our camping trip here!! Lori was wonderful!! So sweet and helpful! The view from the campsite was beautiful and the bathrooms/showers were the cleanest I’ve ever seen at a campground
Great campground with a very kind and helpful owner, and a nice view of the lake. Offers both RV and tent sites. We unfortunately forgot the poles for our tent and Lori generously took the time to find some extras she had to lend to us, as well as offering us other tent options. The bathrooms are clean, the campground is quiet, and most sites have electric. Firewood is also available for purchase at the campground. We would highly recommend staying here!
You wont find a better campsite view in the Finger Lakes Region.Only real downside is no WiFi so you will need to bring your own hotspot. The lady that runs the place is super nice and will accommodate you any way she can to make your stay the best. Great rates and family owned
