Laurel Lake Campsites Introduce

Laurel Lake Campsites is a tranquil, family-owned outdoor destination located in the picturesque Summer Valley of New Ringgold, Pennsylvania. Established for over 45 years, this campground has remained a steadfast choice for local Pennsylvanians who value a quiet, rustic atmosphere over the high-energy distractions of modern commercial resorts. Nestled within the rolling hills of Schuylkill County, the property is characterized by its lush vegetation and a gentle stream that winds through the grounds, providing a soothing natural soundtrack for all who visit. Whether you are a local resident looking for a seasonal home-away-from-home or a traveler seeking a peaceful spot for a weekend getaway, Laurel Lake Campsites offers a genuine "back to basics" experience that honors the traditional spirit of Pennsylvania camping.

The community at Laurel Lake is intentionally kept on the smaller side, fostering an environment where privacy and rest are the top priorities. Many visitors are seasonal campers who have built long-standing friendships, creating a neighborhood feel that is both welcoming and secure. While the park does not focus on programmed activities or loud entertainment, it excels at providing spacious, well-separated sites where you can truly unwind. For those living in the busier corridors of the state, this campground serves as a vital escape—a place to set up a lawn chair by the water, light a campfire, and enjoy the simplicity of the wooded surroundings without the pressure of a crowded schedule.

We almost didn't stop here when seeing the reviews, but then we read them and decided to give it a shot. The bathrooms are clean and well lit - they're just old. There aren't activities, that's true. But we wanted a quiet, spacious site to relax and rest. And it's PERFECT for that. The owner was super polite to us. I can only imagine that IF the owner had any kind of attitude towards someone, it had to be situational. We came in, asked for a site, paid our way, and they were extremely polite and professional. I'm not sure what more anyone expects!

My fiancé and I and our 2 dogs needed somewhere to stay around here with our Sprinter van. Despite the bad reviews about minuscule things, we decided to give this place a try. The owner was professional, walked us around and let us pick our spot. Previous reviews stated he was rude (untrue). The reviews also stated there is nothing to do. Going to a campground, we don’t expect to be entertained, hence going to a campground. It was extremely quiet, the seasonal campers were all very nice and the site we parked at was private with electric and water. It has everything you need. The bathrooms that were also apparently an issue with previous customers, were clean with showers. If we come back around, this is definitely a spot we could stay at again!

Water/Electric only, but easy and convenient dump station. Quiet campground for a holiday weekend. Excellent firewood prices and quality. I met the owner, and I cannot agree with the comments that he was rude. Chalk that up to personality differences. I found him to be quite pleasant.
