Maple Grove Campground Introduce

Maple Grove Campground is a serene and well-established outdoor retreat located in the heart of Pembroke, New Hampshire. Known for its quiet, community-oriented atmosphere, this campground has long been a favorite for those seeking a more personal and tranquil camping experience in the Merrimack County region. Unlike larger, corporate-run resorts, Maple Grove prides itself on being an owner-occupied facility where the management is deeply involved in the day-to-day operations and the well-being of its guests. The property offers a balanced mix of seasonal sites—where many local New Hampshire families have set down roots for the summer—and transient sites for those just passing through the beautiful Granite State.

The campground is set against a backdrop of mature maple trees that provide ample shade during the warm summer months. Its position along the banks of the Suncook River adds a natural charm to the landscape, offering a peaceful soundscape and a touch of waterfront beauty. Residents and visitors often describe the park as an "amazing place" where everyone is helpful and a strong sense of neighborly kindness prevails. Whether you are looking for a weekend tenting adventure under the stars or a permanent seasonal home for your RV, Maple Grove Campground offers a clean, orderly, and welcoming environment that captures the true spirit of traditional New England camping.

Strategically situated at 615 NH-28 in Pembroke, Maple Grove Campground is exceptionally easy to find and access. Route 28 is a major north-south corridor in New Hampshire, providing a direct link to the state capital of Concord, which is only about 15 minutes to the northwest. This proximity makes it a convenient choice for campers who want to enjoy a rural setting while remaining close to the shopping, dining, and cultural attractions of the capital city. For those traveling from the southern part of the state or the Massachusetts border, the campground is easily reachable via a straightforward drive up through Hooksett and Allenstown.

Accessibility is a priority at the park, which features a wheelchair-accessible entrance and a dedicated parking lot to accommodate guests with various mobility needs. The layout of the campground is designed to be navigable, with clear signage and well-maintained interior roads. For local explorers, the campground serves as an ideal basecamp for visiting nearby natural landmarks such as Bear Brook State Park, which is just a short drive away and offers thousands of acres of additional hiking and mountain biking trails. Its central location in the Merrimack Valley ensures that you are never too far from modern conveniences while still feeling miles away from the hustle and bustle of city life.

  • Full RV hookups including dedicated electric service for seasonal and transient travelers.
  • Clean and accessible running water available throughout the campground facilities.
  • Spacious, designated tent sites for those who prefer a more traditional outdoor experience.
  • Seasonal site programs that allow families to maintain a consistent summer home from year to year.
  • On-site management and owner-occupancy, ensuring immediate assistance and a high standard of maintenance.
  • Helpful community network where seasonal residents and staff assist with setup and local information.
  • Organized parking and clear check-in procedures for new arrivals.

One of the highlights of Maple Grove Campground is its commitment to creating a safe and engaging environment for children. The park is frequently noted as being "good for kids," providing plenty of open space for supervised play and the opportunity to make lifelong friends with other young campers. The natural environment serves as its own playground, but the presence of community-focused amenities ensures there is always something to do. Another significant feature is the river access; while the Suncook River can fluctuate in depth, it provides a scenic focal point for the property and opportunities for birdwatching or relaxing by the water's edge.

  • Wheelchair accessible entrance and parking lot, ensuring inclusivity for all family members.
  • Quiet hours and strictly maintained park rules that foster a peaceful and respectful living environment.
  • A pet-friendly atmosphere where well-behaved dogs are welcomed by the management and community.
  • Scenic riverfront views and proximity to the Suncook River's natural ecosystems.
  • Lush tree cover with mature maples providing privacy and relief from the summer sun.
  • A strong "seasonal family" culture that creates a welcoming and secure neighborhood feel.
  • Proximity to major NH attractions like the NH Motor Speedway and various Merrimack County fairgrounds.

If you are interested in booking a site for the upcoming season or simply want to inquire about transient availability for a weekend trip, it is recommended to call the office directly. Due to the popular seasonal program, many of the prime spots are claimed early in the year. You can reach the campground through the following contact details:

Maple Grove Campground is worth choosing for those who prioritize peace, community, and personal service above the "bells and whistles" of large commercial RV resorts. In a world where many campgrounds are becoming increasingly impersonal, the owner-occupied nature of Maple Grove ensures that you are treated like a neighbor rather than just a reservation number. This makes it an especially good choice for first-time campers or those looking to establish a long-term seasonal spot where they can feel safe and supported. The quiet nature of the park means you can truly unwind and enjoy the sound of the wind through the maples without the distractions of loud crowds or high-traffic disruptions.

Furthermore, its location in Pembroke offers the best of both worlds. You can enjoy the rustic beauty of the Suncook River valley and the nearby state parks while being close enough to Concord for a quick trip to a movie theater or a favorite restaurant. The high recommendation from current seasonal residents is a testament to the quality of the stay and the friendliness of the management. For a reliable, authentic, and genuinely "New Hampshire" camping experience, Maple Grove Campground stands out as a top-tier choice in the Merrimack Valley. It is an investment in a simpler way of life, where the focus is on family, friends, and the great outdoors.
