Pope Haven Campground Introduce

For residents of New York seeking a peaceful yet activity-filled retreat, Pope Haven Campground in Randolph stands as a shining example of Southern Tier hospitality. Located in the picturesque Chautauqua-Allegheny region, this campground offers a unique blend of natural beauty and community spirit. It serves as an ideal "home base" for those looking to explore the rolling hills of Western New York, providing a sanctuary that feels miles away from the city while remaining easily accessible for weekend travelers. Whether you are a local resident from Buffalo or Jamestown looking for a seasonal spot or a traveler passing through the Enchanted Mountains, Pope Haven delivers a welcoming atmosphere that treats every guest like a member of the family.

Managed by dedicated owners Jeff and Paula, Pope Haven Campground has built a reputation for its friendly staff and exceptionally clean facilities. The park is nestled within the heart of New York's Amish Country, offering a quiet, countryside escape where the clip-clop of horse-drawn buggies often provides the soundtrack to your morning coffee. The campground itself is perfectly sized—large enough to offer a variety of amenities and social events, yet intimate enough to maintain a secure and personal feel. Recent updates under the current management have introduced modern conveniences, such as a highly-rated food trailer and a heated saltwater pool, ensuring that traditional camping values meet contemporary expectations of comfort.

The location and accessibility of Pope Haven make it a standout choice for regional campers. Situated at 11948 Pope Rd, Randolph, NY 14772, the campground is conveniently located just a short drive from major local attractions including Allegany State Park, Chautauqua Lake, and the Seneca Allegany Casino. The facility is designed with inclusivity in mind, providing a wheelchair-accessible entrance, parking lot, and restroom facilities to ensure all guests can enjoy the grounds comfortably. Its position within the Conewango Amish Trail means that a short drive from the entrance will lead you to authentic Amish shops, furniture makers, and roadside stands selling fresh baked goods and produce. For those arriving with large rigs or multiple vehicles, the on-site parking is spacious and well-organized.

Pope Haven Campground offers a comprehensive suite of services designed to cater to various camping styles, from rustic tenting to full-service RVing. The staff, including maintenance and culinary professionals, are known for their outgoing personalities and willingness to go the extra mile. The services provided at the park include:

Jeff and Paula are GREAT owners. They made us feel like part of the camp family. The campground itself is a good size. The heated pool looked fun (it was in the 40’s & 50’s the weekend we were there). Everyone was friendly and went out of their way to welcome us. Maintenance Brian and Chef Miguel were a lot of fun to talk to and hang out with when they weren’t busy. I definitely highly recommend Pope Haven to everyone and we plan on not only staying again but possibly making it our southern tier home base. Another awesome point is that it is in Conewango Amish Country. We love Pope Haven and can’t wait til our next stay.

A great place to unwind and experience the Amish trail. Didn’t realize this is what we were coming to when we arrived but enjoyed deiving to the different Amish stores / homes. As for the campground, it was fine. Place is clean and spaced enough apart. This is mostly seasonal campers with some travelers in one area. Speed limit is 5 mph (which is fine) but golf carts are seen to go much faster and cut through the grass to avoid ruts in road (even staff breaks this rule). Speed bumps a plenty but they are a surprise when you hit one as they are not marked. After we arrived and set camp, the area was trimmed by local Amish boys who ended up trimming a hole in my hose (didn’t discover until I arrived at my next campground 6 hours away but there was grass clippings on my hose and sewer hose). Also, sewer is to high as i could not dump without disconnecting my hose in the air for gravity assist. Overall it was fine and safe, but not perfect.

Had a great time this weekend at Popehaven with the family. Swimming, fishing and corn hole tournament. Cabins were clean, but the door on one of them was sticking but not enough to cause any problems. RV sites were full hook up and worked out great. Everyone was friendly. Didn't worry about the kids running around as 5mph was strictly enforced.

We recently stayed in cabin number three over Memorial Day weekend. We got eaten alive by spiders went and told the owners they did absolutely nothing about it. All they said was I’m sorry. Would not recommend getting a cabin.
