When choosing an outdoor destination in Pennsylvania, Red Ridge Lake Campgrounds is worth choosing for its exceptional balance of tranquility and community. One of the most significant reasons to choose this park is the "wonderful neighbors" and the genuine warmth of the staff. Unlike larger, corporate-run resorts, this campground maintains a personal touch where the owner often knows the guests by name. This sense of belonging makes it a top choice for those looking to establish a seasonal home or for families who want their children to experience a safe and friendly camping community.
Additionally, the diversity of attractions within a short drive adds immense value to your stay. While the campground itself offers plenty of entertainment, its proximity to famous landmarks like Knoebels Amusement Resort, Hawk Mountain Sanctuary, and the Yuengling Brewery in Pottsville makes it an excellent home base for exploring the region. Whether you are looking to spend your days hiking the hundreds of acres of Pocono terrain or simply relaxing by the heated pool, Red Ridge Lake Campgrounds provides the perfect backdrop. Choosing this park means investing in a high-quality, authentic Pennsylvania camping experience that many families find themselves returning to year after year.

Customer Reviews
Wish I could give them 6 stars! Beautiful quiet campground, clean bathrooms and a wonderful pool. One night me and my husband went to the pool after hours and the owner was so kind about our mistaking the time. Every interaction with staff and fellow campers was amazing. They have activities and events planned all summer. Unfortunately due to work we will be leaving this year but god willing we will be back. Thank you Ray for a fantastic summer!
Not a hotel. No rooms that I'm aware of but beautiful camp sites.
Went with a friend because our camp ground closed down due to owners age but he gave us good recommendations. She got her spot I got mine paid a down payment was excited my grandchildren were excited we went to see it and help my girlfriend set up hers with my boyfriend he is black then come Monday I was called told I was no longer welcome and my money was returned . I am devastated heartbroken and just wondering why and if this happened to anyone else?
Met with the owner on Saturday to discuss seasonal options. It went well…we selected a site, filled out the paperwork and agreed to a move-in & payment date. My family was excited, especially my daughter who came along to see the place. Three days later the owner called out of the blue to tell us that it “just won’t work.” When we asked for an explanation, his response was the same vague “it just won’t work.” Confused and disappointed are understatements, but we’re happy to take our business elsewhere.
Its been years that we had been here. What a pleasant surprise. Clean n not overgrown. Bathrooms clean and not full of graffiti was amazing to see. Where the planned party was held truly was roomy and the Autumn sunshine was amazing n allowed a nice breeze to keep everyone comfortable. Good job folks of Red Ridge!
