Seven Points Campground- Senoia Camp Loop Introduce
For outdoor enthusiasts in Pennsylvania, the Seven Points Campground at Raystown Lake is often considered the crown jewel of the state's inland water recreation. Within this massive complex, the Senoia Camp Loop stands out as a premier choice for those who desire high-quality facilities paired with immediate access to the crystal-clear waters of the Raystown Branch of the Juniata River. Located in Hesston, PA, this loop is a favorite for local families and boaters who want to experience the rugged beauty of the Ridge and Valley Province while enjoying modern camping conveniences.
The Senoia Camp Loop is distinct for its terraced landscape and impressive lake views. Added to the Seven Points system in 1999, it is divided into "Upper" and "Lower" sections, each offering a slightly different perspective of the surrounding forest and water. While the Lower Senoia section is famous for its coveted waterfront sites, the Upper section offers more shade and a quieter atmosphere tucked into the hillside. Whether you are looking to wake up to the sunrise reflecting off the lake or spend your afternoon hiking the nearby ridgelines, Senoia provides an ideal basecamp for any Pennsylvania adventure.

For local users, the entrance station serves as the central hub where you will check in before heading to the specific Senoia loop. Accessibility is a key feature of this federally managed site, ensuring that the beauty of Raystown Lake is open to everyone.

Senoia Camp Loop is a full-service destination designed to make a week-long stay as comfortable as a night at home. It is a place where land and water activities meet seamlessly. Families appreciate the "neighborhood" feel of the loop, while serious outdoorsmen use it as a launching point for fishing and hiking expeditions. The loop is particularly highlighted for its family-oriented amenities that keep children engaged throughout their stay.
- The loop features its own dedicated playground with swings and slides, providing a safe place for kids to play within sight of the campsites.
- Waterfront sites allow boaters to pull their craft right up to the shoreline, just feet away from their campfire.
- Access to kid-friendly hikes and interpretive trails, such as the Hillside Nature Trail and the Greenside Pathway, is just a short walk away.

What is worth choosing the Senoia Camp Loop for is the unparalleled combination of lakefront living and high-end infrastructure. If you are a boater, there is no better way to experience Raystown Lake than securing a waterfront site in Lower Senoia; it eliminates the need for daily boat launching and keeps the water as part of your living room. For those who prefer the woods, the Upper Senoia sites offer a terraced, "treehouse" feel that provides more privacy while still keeping you within a five-minute walk of the marina and beach.
Furthermore, the campground is worth choosing for its professional management. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers ensures that the environment is protected and that the campground remains a safe, family-friendly space. While the lake can become lively with boaters during summer afternoons, the transition to quiet hours is well-enforced, allowing for peaceful mornings on the water. Whether you are coming for the world-class fishing, the technical mountain bike trails, or simply a quiet weekend with the kids by the lake, Senoia Camp Loop offers a quintessential Pennsylvania camping experience that is both reliable and spectacular.

If you can be realistic, this place is great. Fishing early in the morning, you'll have a nice quiet lake ... come afternoon, in the summer, you better want to be part of the pleasure boaters blasting by everyone. Water front camping is the best if you can get a spot.
A very nice campground with spectacular lake views if you can get a site on the outer loop. I visited after Labor Day and it was really quiet. Very few people. The weather was perfect. Just keep in mind that the marina doesn’t have small boats, kayaks or paddle boards for rent. You will have to bring your own kayaks or paddle boards. I guess it gets really dull after Labor Day weekend. If you want quiet time for yourself, then it is the best place to camp. Also, make sure to bring your own food. Not many restaurant options. Showers and restrooms are not bad.
We were in site 191, and this was our first time at Raystown Lake. I will say it is not going to be our last. Beautiful views of the lake, quiet (maybe because of the time of year). The sites are large. You feel like you are secluded for everyone and everything.
Seven Points campgrounds are some of the best I've visited. For the most part, even the worst sites are great. Some of their campgrounds have better views, but the sites and the facilities are always awesome and great for families. Some of the sites are even right on the lake.
Been coming to Raystown Lake's Senoia Campgroind for almost 10 years. Clean with great facilities. A big bonus if you can get one of the waterfront sites!
