Customer Reviews
We are on a family trip from Maine to Tennessee and needed to find a safe place halfway through to stay for the night. We selected Shady Oaks based on proximity and their excellent reviews. And we were so happy we did! We were welcomed with open arms. Very clean and you can tell the owners were taking efforts to continually maintain the campground. Hopefully our return route brings us back this way as we will definitely stay here again!
It was a nice place with fun activities for labor day. The hiking trails provided beauty in the woods.
As seasonal campers at Shady Oaks, we love the people, staff and family atmosphere. There are activities, a nice swimming pool, wagon rides, Friday night bingo, and crafts. There are special events like their late summer car show, DJ nights, and even live bands. The upcoming Halloween weekends are fun with haunted hayrides and kid friendly barrel rides. Shady Oaks Family Campground has something for everyone, and bring your dogs along, as they are pet friendly. You can even visit the goats and "Dusty", the campground's friendly cat and Ambassador! Highly recommended!
I almost don't want to review this place and keep it a secret for myself! Very nice place for a relaxing weekend. We spent Labor weekend there and it was so quiet I couldn't believe it. There are a lot of permanent sites but everyone we dealt with or came across was very friendly. There are2 nice playground for the kids, activities and a Hayride certain days. The bathhouse was clean and the pool looked very nice. Its a great location to visit the the area from. The price we paid was also very reasonable. We will definitely return.
Very friendly, family oriented campground.
