Customer Reviews
My family stayed at Sned Acres- Wine Trail Campgrounds for a long weekend in August, 2025. We had a great time. Our site was perfect for our 5th wheel and in a great spot. The owners were very friendly and accommodating! There were plenty of things to do within the campground and its location is great for all the other things to do on the west side of Cayuga Lake. Our kids were all about fishing in the pond!
Sites are very poorly marked. One sign indicated go right at the first Y in the road, but at the next.... no sign, no indication of where what site is numbered what. Why is this an issue? The camp host had us go to our assigned site first, before check in. Sound great, but can't find our site. Eventually, they send someone over to get me to the right spot (site numbers on this row are not on the front of the power pedestal; may be on the back, but I didn't notice). Was given a back in site (I tow a motorcycle on a trailer, inconvenient to unstrap, offload, unhitch and then back in). But, given I was there a week, I took the back-in with the understanding that I'd hitch the trailer & load the bike the day before I leave, so I can just pull straight out. Was assured it was no problem. It was a problem. On this particular site, in the back, they have an 18-24" diameter, 6-8" high plastic device sticking out of the ground (am guessing it's water shutoff for that row). Motorcycle trailer has a very, very low clearance and I was unable to manuever around this object; so had to unstrap, offload the motorcycle, unhutch trailer, pull out, re-hitch trailer, load the bicke, strap it down. 2 hours late, we were on the road. The sites themselves, basically a modest amount of gravel on a grassy/dirt patch. Sites are never groomed, so ruts have appeared where wheels have worn the ground down. Makes the site particularly uneven. Adequate location, not really near anything (except the neighboring wineries). 20-30 min to any town for groceries and no view of the lake. It's ok, not really worth the price; I wouldn't return.
We camped here from 8/30/25-9/6/25 on site #58. There is a old 🪦 cemetery behind our site in the wooded area. While here during the week they brought in gravel and regraveled alot of the empty sites. Place is under new management and is now called Wine Trail Campground. Looks like they have been doing improvements.
New owners of a nice campground. We were tenting, easy to drive stakes in. Pool was nice, nice game room for kids. Good central location for the finger lakes. The showers need to be replumbed but are adequate.
Simple RV park. Lil bit on the rough side, but making strides to improve a very large property. Recently placed into new ownership. Time will tell. Has a lot of permanent RVs. All in all a decent place for the price.
