This used to be one of our favorite places, but ever since KOA and owner Jessica took over, everything has changed for the worse. The rates have skyrocketed, and the service has become unacceptable due to a few individuals who have ruined our experience. We stayed in August 2025, site #82 and while that visit was satisfactory, it doesn’t justify the outrageous price hike or the poor customer service we encountered from Jessica and a few others. When we attempted to rebook the same site and is the most expensive site available, Jessica insisted on charging us a lock-in rate to guarantee it. Not only was this an insult but this was despite the fact that we were returning campers for the fifth time! It’s clear she has no interest in valuing loyal customers or improving her customer service. We firmly rejected her proposal and demanded a full 100% credit back. As long as Jessica continues to manage this place in such a careless manner, we will absolutely not be returning!

I will start by saying we are full time on the road for over 7 years. We are KOA Rewards members and have stayed at hundreds of campgrounds (many KOAs) all over the US. This is by far the worst KOA experience we've had. We reserved and paid for a "front row, lake view site" and when we arrived, were put in a back in with absolutely no lake view. There are a few sites with absolutely beautiful views of the Lake Ontario if you're lucky enough to get one. Apparently, reserving a lake view site does not guarantee you'll get one of them. When we brought it to the Manager's attention, we got a few different excuses. In any event, the site we were assigned (site 86) should not be considered "front row, lake view". We asked to be charged for a premium back in site, which would be reasonable and were offered a 5% discount, which is an absolute joke. We asked for a full refund and left. That site is nowhere near worth $600 for 5 nights. The grounds crew was very nice and tried their best to help us, but they did agree that this is a problem and that many people have complained. When you pay that much for a water view site, you expect to have a water view. The first picture is the site we were assigned, the second picture is one of the actual water view sites that we reserved. They are charging the same price for both.
