Situated along the scenic Sinepuxent Bay, this expansive RV park and resort has been a cornerstone of local family traditions for over sixty years. It is more than just a place to park an engine; it is a fully immersive adventure park that transports visitors back to the 1880s with its iconic Wild West theme, while simultaneously offering the high-energy excitement of a premier water park. For residents from across the Delmarva Peninsula and the Baltimore-Washington corridor, Frontier Town represents the gold standard of "staycation" destinations where memories are made without ever needing to leave the property.

The resort’s unique atmosphere is defined by its diverse landscape, ranging from wooded, shaded sites to breathtaking waterfront spots right on the edge of the bay. Whether you are a local Marylander looking for a quiet week of fishing and crabbing or a family in search of non-stop activities, the park’s layout caters to both desires. The staff is frequently praised for their friendly, proactive service, often seen patrolling the grounds on golf carts to ensure the facility remains clean and the atmosphere remains welcoming. With its proximity to the wild horses of Assateague and the bustling boardwalk of Ocean City, Sun Outdoors Frontier Town serves as the perfect central hub for experiencing the very best of coastal Maryland life.

What is Worth Choosing

When it comes to RV camping in Maryland, Sun Outdoors Frontier Town is worth choosing for the sheer value of its "all-inclusive" feel. Registered guests receive complimentary access to both the Water Park and the Western Experience theme park during the peak summer season—a perk that can save a family of four hundreds of dollars in entertainment costs. It is the perfect choice for multi-generational trips; while the kids are busy at the splash pad or the arcade, grandparents can enjoy the peaceful bay views or a quiet afternoon at the fishing pier.

Furthermore, the resort’s commitment to safety and cleanliness makes it a reliable choice for those who might be wary of crowded campgrounds. The constant presence of helpful staff and the "city-like" infrastructure mean that you are never far from assistance or a hot meal. If you are looking for a place where you can park your RV once and have an entire week's worth of entertainment right at your doorstep—from high-flying zip lines to old-fashioned cowboy shootouts—Frontier Town remains the undisputed king of Maryland's coastal campgrounds. It truly is a place where "camping in the city" meets the rugged charm of the Old West, making it a local favorite for over half a century.

My 6 yr old grandson and I were there the week of my birthday in July. We had an absolute blast, so much to do without leaving the campground, The staff was super and friendly. Even if you leave the property everything is close by. We had to go see the wild horse, so beautiful. Awesome memories made with my grandson and we are coming back in August of 2026 with his parents and younger brother. We can’t wait! We already booked our spot!

I went camping here for 5 days and absolutely loved it. We were the last camper on right on the edge of the water. What an incredibly peaceful week. The staff at the general store were fantastic. There were many activities to do. The staff was constantly driving around in golf carts to make sure everything was clean and no problems. We spoke to a few of the people on the golf carts and they were very friendly, helpful and great to talk to. Thank you for a great experience.

We were at frontier town during Country Calling. Our camp site was great . Not very crowded . We took the bus from the camp ground each day into the country event . The bus driver was awesome in every way . We’re coming back 2 different weeks in summer 2026 and can’t wait to bring the grandkids. It’s a bit pricey , much more than I’d like to pay but you get what you pay for . I just don’t agree with the $20 cancellation fee if you’re just changing dates or discounts. I also don’t agree with the lock in fee to keep the site you paid a deposit on . I think that’s just a racket to get more money out of senior campers

Have been going for 6 years straight now. Our family enjoys the feel of camping while being at the beach and not being in the madness off downtown OC. A very family friendly oriented place with many amenities for kids. If you book on the Black Friday sale you can book a full cabin for a week, for same price you would pay to stay 2 nights at a hotel.

Frontier Town is AMAZING. We absolutely loved our time there. They are so kind and helpful, they had fantastic amenities, and the location right on the water is stunning. I highly recommend! We came for country calling and they provided a shuttle to and from the festival which was a HUGE help (shoutout to Dave)! We will be back!😍
