Swan Bay Resort & Marina Introduce

For New Yorkers who crave the perfect blend of rugged outdoor adventure and upscale resort amenities, Swan Bay Resort & Marina stands as the premier destination in the Thousand Islands. Located in the heart of Alexandria Bay, this 55-acre luxury resort has transformed the traditional camping experience into a high-end "glamping" retreat. From the moment you pull through the gated entrance, it becomes clear that this is not your average campground. Nestled directly along the St. Lawrence River, Swan Bay offers breathtaking views of the shipping channel, where massive international freighters glide past, creating a majestic backdrop for your morning coffee or evening campfire.

Swan Bay is designed for the savvy traveler who appreciates a meticulously maintained environment. The resort features paved roads, concrete pads for RVs, and beautifully landscaped grounds that feel more like a private club than a park. Whether you are a local resident from the North Country or traveling up from the city, the resort’s lively yet family-friendly atmosphere provides a unique balance. You can spend your afternoon lounging by one of the two heated pools, enjoying a refreshing drink at the famous "Why Knot" Tiki Bar, and then retreat to the quiet comfort of a waterfront site to watch a world-class sunset over the river. It is a place where community thrives, with seasonal and transient guests alike sharing in the magic of the St. Lawrence.

The facility is fully committed to inclusivity, offering a wheelchair-accessible entrance, accessible parking lots, and ADA-compliant restroom and shower facilities. The gated access ensures peace of mind for all guests, while the layout of the park allows for easy maneuvering of even the largest big-rig RVs.

It is one of only two resorts in New York State to receive the prestigious Good Sam 10/10/10 rating, a testament to the excellence of its facilities and service. Additionally, the resort's marina and boat rental services make it worth choosing for anyone who wants to truly experience the 1,826 islands that make this region legendary. This campground is absolutely stunning! Nestled right along the river in the Thousand Islands, it has everything you could want for the perfect getaway. The campsites are spacious, clean, and beautifully maintained, many with gorgeous views right on the water. One of the highlights is the tiki bar, such a fun spot to relax in the evenings with a drink while enjoying the sunset over the river. The atmosphere is lively but still family-friendly, which is a rare and wonderful balance. There are plenty of activities for kids, from organized games to safe areas where they can explore and play. It made our stay stress-free knowing the kids were entertained and having a blast.Between the breathtaking views, friendly staff, and all the amenities, this is hands-down one of the best campgrounds we’ve ever visited. We’ll definitely be coming back year after year!

We've visited Swan Bay in the past as guests but this was our first actual stay at the resort. We rented the Heart House for the Spooktacular weekend and the location was perfect. We couldn't have asked for a better view of the St. Lawrence River. The house itself was amazing. It was furnished with everything we needed. The couch pulled out for our kids to sleep on and there was still plenty of room to maneuver around on the other side of the dining/kitchen area. The Tiki Bar and swimming pool are located across from the Heart House. Staff were all very friendly and helpful with any questions we had prior to arrival and while on site. We'll be back to stay for sure!

We been coming to this camp site for almost 6 years. loved it every time, Despite the cold and the wind in some cases. We always had a good time to haunted hayride have always been a staple in the experience with the kids and family, along with all the other activities. However, the last 2 years I have watched. It become less about the fun and more about a quick cash grab. While I understand businesses need business. I cannot ignore what happened at the hayride last night. For the price we paid for our site. we didn't even get to ride the hay ride because they closed it a half-hour earlier than advertised (9pm). With the last ride, not having any actors to do any scaring, it was just quite literally a ride.. When we express the problem, people came down in a golf cart in basically told us to get lost. I felt bad for the volunteers who had taken the brunt of complaints And all the people coming down 15 minutes before 9 still expecting there to be a ride. While the sites are good and camping was great the Halloween event this year was not worth the time wasted in the cold with our disappointed children.

We stayed 6 nights with the Tiffin Rally. Site 342, quiet location by the woods, partial water view. The grounds and buildings were immaculate. Our pup loved the dog park and the long walks to and from. Would absolutely love to be here in warm weather to enjoy the water and pool. We hiked the nature trail and the convenience to grocery store was phenomenal. We have been RVing since 2013 and would rate this resort in our top 5 easily.

Thanks Swan Bay Resort! We had a fantastic week at this upscale campground during the Tiffin Owner's Club rally. We were lucky enough to be parked in a water view site with a perfect view of the enormous tankers passing by on the St. Lawrence River, and all of the amazing wildlife. You won't be disappointed with all of the great amenities at this resort...and the staff couldn't have been nicer! Can't wait to return!
