Trout Run Camp Resort Introduce

For residents of the New York region seeking a sophisticated yet family-oriented outdoor escape, Trout Run Camp Resort in Wellsville stands as one of the most comprehensive destinations in the Western New York Wilds. Spanning over 100 acres with an impressive 1,200 feet of frontage on the scenic Genesee River, this resort is designed to provide a high-end camping experience that balances the tranquility of nature with modern, resort-style amenities. Whether you are an avid angler looking for the perfect river spot or a family searching for a summer getaway filled with activities, Trout Run offers a meticulously maintained environment that caters to a wide variety of camping styles, from rustic tents to massive luxury RVs.

The resort has built a strong reputation among local campers for its spaciousness and the quality of its infrastructure. Unlike many traditional campgrounds that can feel cramped, the sites at Trout Run are notably large, often averaging 50 feet by 100 feet. This "big rig friendly" approach ensures that even the most modern slide-out RVs have plenty of breathing room. Beyond the physical space, the atmosphere is defined by a friendly and accommodating staff committed to providing a safe and clean environment. While it offers the peaceful backdrop of the Genesee River valley, the resort is a hub of activity during the peak season, making it a favorite for those who want their camping trip to include a mix of relaxation and high-energy social events.

Location and accessibility are primary benefits for travelers coming from across the state. Situated at 2137 Stannards Rd, Wellsville, NY 14895, the resort is conveniently positioned in Allegany County, making it an accessible retreat for visitors from Buffalo, Rochester, and the Finger Lakes. The terrain is notably flat, which facilitates easy leveling and setup for RV owners. The facility is fully committed to accessibility, offering a wheelchair-accessible entrance, dedicated parking lots, and restrooms designed to meet the needs of all guests. This attention to detail ensures that the beauty of the Genesee River valley is open to everyone, regardless of their mobility needs.

  • Over 160 full hook-up RV sites featuring 30-amp and 50-amp electrical service, water, and sewer.
  • Premium lodging options including luxury log cabins, two-bedroom lodges, and authentic Adirondack lean-tos.
  • A 30 x 50 foot heated saltwater pool with a massive 5,000 square foot patio, open from mid-April through October.

  • On-site golf cart rentals to help guests navigate the expansive 100-acre property with ease.
  • High-speed free WiFi available throughout the resort to keep guests connected.
  • Professional laundry facilities and clean, modern bathhouses with hot showers.
  • Winter storage options for seasonal campers looking to keep their rigs on-site year-round.

The features and highlights of Trout Run Camp Resort distinguish it as a true "resort" rather than just a campground. The direct access to the Genesee River allows for a variety of water-based activities such as tubing, kayaking, and guided fishing trips. For families, the resort has recently added a modern splash pad and a mini waterslide to complement the heated pool. Sports enthusiasts will appreciate the diversity of recreational courts available on the property. The highlights of a stay here often include:

  • Direct river frontage for canoeing and world-class trout fishing right from the property.
  • A 350-yard driving range for golfers to practice their swing during their stay.
  • Dedicated sports courts including a pickleball court, basketball hoops, and a Gaga ball court.
  • A well-maintained dog park and pet-friendly areas, ensuring that four-legged family members are welcome.
  • Kid-friendly highlights such as a playground, wagon rides, and arts and crafts sessions.
  • Scenic hiking and walking trails that wind through the 100 acres of hills and riverbanks.
  • Scheduled themed weekends and community events, such as the Wellsville River Regatta activities.
  • Safe, flat grounds that are perfect for kids to ride bikes or for evening walks.

To arrange a visit or inquire about seasonal lot availability, the resort can be reached through their main office. The address is 2137 Stannards Rd, Wellsville, NY 14895, USA. For direct reservations or questions regarding the various lodge rentals, you can call (585) 596-0500. Given the resort's popularity, particularly for their deluxe RV sites and holiday weekends, advance booking is highly recommended. The staff is known for their accommodating nature and is ready to help you find the perfect site for your specific vehicle size or family needs.

What is worth choosing at Trout Run is the sheer variety of experiences available in one location. For RV owners, the "Deluxe" sites with LED-lit patios and 10' x 40' pads offer a level of luxury that is hard to find in the region. For those who do not own an RV, the log cabins provide a "turn-key" vacation with full kitchens and flat-screen TVs, allowing you to enjoy the wilderness without sacrificing comfort. Choosing this resort means you have the convenience of a full-service camp store and a heated pool while still being mere steps away from the rugged beauty of the Genesee River.

Furthermore, the resort is worth choosing for its commitment to constant improvement. From the addition of the splash pad to the expansion of their cabin inventory, the owners clearly invest in the guest experience. It is a place where you can be as active or as relaxed as you choose—spending the morning on a kid-friendly hike, the afternoon at the saltwater pool, and the evening by a private campfire. For a local New York user looking for a reliable, high-quality destination that delivers on the "resort" promise, Trout Run Camp Resort is a standout choice in the Southern Tier.

In conclusion, Trout Run Camp Resort offers an unparalleled blend of natural riverfront beauty and modern leisure facilities. Its spacious sites, diverse lodging options, and wealth of activities make it a premier choice for families and outdoor enthusiasts across New York. Whether you are there to catch the big one in the river or simply relax on the pool patio, Trout Run provides a safe, clean, and engaging environment for your next outdoor adventure. If you are looking for a destination where the staff treats you like a guest and the amenities rival those of a top-tier hotel, this Wellsville gem is exactly what you need.

This is our second year of coming to Trout Run. We love the sites and the area is clean. Staff is friendly and accommodating. The issue we have that the other campers do not respect other campers sites. We constantly saw people cutting through other people's sites and when we told people not to cut through our sites they just said everyone does it and kept walk through. That and the under 16 kids driving golf carts around the campground with no adults in the cart. We do not feel safe walking around while one of them almost hit us today when we were on a walk and he was not paying attention to where he was going. I feel staff needs to be aware of this to prevent any problems in the future.

We love this place it’s awesome here, only problem was the bees were a bother last year and they were a terrible problem this year, in less than 24 hours 3 people were stung. They weren’t even bees they were wasps. I’m allergic so I’m glad I didn’t get stung but my son, nephew and sister did. Maybe just putting bee and wasp traps attached to the cabins can help. Coming back next year and hope we won’t run into them! I love this place regardless, this really is a resort here!

We stayed here this past weekend. We had a great time. The campground has many amenities and activities to keep the family busy. They have a heated pool which my daughter enjoyed; a fishing pond for the husband, and a huge dog park for our dogs to run free and play. Dog park had balls to play catch, and a spot for water. This campground has the best bathrooms I’ve ever seen, showers are large and clean! Loved the cafe for ordering food when we didn’t feel like cooking. The walk to the river down the nature trail was gorgeous. Everyone there was super friendly and accommodating. My only complaint is that our campsite was out in the open and not very private; but you can choose your own campsite when you make your reservations. So, we scoped out the grounds so that we can pick a more desired site for next time. I also recommend booking a golf cart with your reservation. We made the mistake of waiting and since it was a busy weekend, there were none available. We will definitely be back. If you want an affordable campground with all the bells and whistles; this is your place. Highly recommend!

Excellent camp ground! Spacious rv campsites close to activities but not at all loud. Pool is always clean, heated and open till 10pm! We love the night swimming with the pool lights and country music rolling. This year they offered delicious brick oven pizzas in the evening, perfect late night snack before s’mores. Would highly recommend this campsite!
