Turtle Run Campground & RV Introduce
For residents across the state of New Jersey, finding a reliable and engaging outdoor retreat is a priority when the warmer months arrive. Turtle Run Campground & RV, located in the scenic landscapes of Egg Harbor City, serves as a premier destination for those looking to swap the hum of the city for the rustle of the Pinelands. This campground is well-regarded for its welcoming atmosphere, catering specifically to families, RV enthusiasts, and traditional campers who value a sense of community and a consistent schedule of weekend entertainment. Whether you are a local South Jersey resident looking for a quick getaway or a North Jersey family planning a week-long excursion, this site offers a rustic yet managed environment for all ages.
Turtle Run is characterized by its "home away from home" vibe, largely driven by its dedicated ownership and a loyal base of seasonal visitors. It is not merely a place to park an RV or pitch a tent; it is a social hub where weekend activities bring neighbors together. The campground strikes a balance between the natural beauty of the New Jersey wilderness and the structured amenities required for a comfortable modern camping experience. From organized games to communal meals, the focus here is on creating memories through shared experiences in the great outdoors.
Location and accessibility are key components of the Turtle Run experience. Situated at 3 Cedar Ln, Egg Harbor City, NJ 08215, USA, the campground is nestled within the heart of the Pine Barrens, yet remains conveniently close to major Garden State thoroughfares. This makes it an easy drive for New Jersey locals coming from Atlantic, Ocean, or Burlington counties. The facility is committed to inclusivity, offering a wheelchair-accessible entrance, dedicated wheelchair-accessible parking lots, and accessible restroom facilities. This ensures that all guests, regardless of mobility needs, can navigate the grounds and participate in the various onsite services offered by the management.
The campground offers a variety of service options to accommodate different levels of camping expertise. While it is a popular choice for those with large RV rigs, the site also provides options for those who prefer the simplicity of a tent or the structured comfort of a cabin rental. This versatility makes it an excellent choice for multi-generational groups where some family members may prefer "glamping" in a cabin while others opt for a more traditional setup. Furthermore, the modern traveler will appreciate the flexible payment options, as the facility accepts credit cards, debit cards, and NFC mobile payments for various onsite transactions.

When considering "what is worth choosing" at Turtle Run, the weekend experience stands out as the clear winner. For many New Jersey locals, the ability to arrive on a Friday and find a pre-planned itinerary of fun is a major stress-reliever. The owner-operated nature of the park means that there is a personal touch often missing from larger, corporate-run facilities. Choosing an RV site here is particularly popular because of the sense of community among the regulars, but the cabins are an excellent choice for those who want a weekend getaway without the investment of a trailer or tent gear.
Furthermore, it is worth choosing this location if you value a pet-friendly environment. Many New Jersey residents view their dogs as part of the family, and Turtle Run’s welcoming stance toward pets makes it a top-tier option for responsible owners. While the bathrooms are a basic facility and can become busy during peak usage times, the trade-off is a high-energy, social, and safe environment that captures the classic spirit of American camping. For a factual, friendly, and truly local experience in the heart of the Garden State, Turtle Run Campground & RV provides a solid foundation for your next outdoor adventure. Whether you are there for the fishing, the picnics, or the Saturday night music, you are likely to find that one visit is rarely enough.

Not a hotel. This is a campground. You can rent a cabin or bring a tent. Most people there have an RV. The owners are the best. Activities every weekend
Cool little camping spot. Stayed a week and it was great except a few little things. They served food on the weekends, wish that was an all week thing though lol. Good place good people, my only complaint would be the bathrooms!!! They were not up to par with the rest of the campground. They were small no ventilation and they were not working half the time. The whole campground was basically using 1 or 2 toilets and they just couldn't keep up ...
We stayed in one of the cabins for a quick night away with the kids. The employees were super friendly. Get the impression that the seasonal campers have a lot of activities together, but everyone is invited. The facilities were nice. Bathrooms were clean and well lit. Grounds were nice. Arcade was great as well. We drove around the campground to catch a glimpse of the tent sites, and they were nice. Spacious, and didn't seem to be too crowded together. We will definitely be back.
"friendly staff".."awesome crew" ... yes they are very friendly and great people! HOWEVER.... do not waste your money here.... unfortunately this place is not as great as it's hyped up to be..... I've spent quite a few nights here... all different... tent, a cabin, and an RV... IT IS NOT worth spending the money to stay here... you could stay at a nice hotel instead of here... these people rip you off and over charge in EVERYTHING... This camp ground is ran by men.. so we can all figure out what this means... the campers and sites are dirty... I stayed in a cabin and RV.. they all smelled like mold and mildew.... floors were disgusting... beds were dirty... bathrooms dirty... no service anywhere. Don't get me started on the tent sites... This property is infested with green heads and huge flies that bite and torture you every second you're outside.... They are kinda deep in the woods so the bugs are TERRIBLE ... me and my son were getting stunk all night....The place to eat is only open on the weekends and closed the rest of the week...Their outdoor bathrooms DON"T have warm water, it's freezing... floors are disgusting in there as well... They really should be ashamed over charging the way they do... you could stay in a nice hotel and have a clean place for all you pay there.... This is not to "bash" the place or any of the workers... but personally it just was not worth the "hype".. me and my son were miserable and hated it... couldn't sit outside and he couldn't use any of his devices because of there being no wifi..... please save your money and go somewhere that's nice and where you're at peace of mind!!! somebody send sos
Our 1st time here was through Groupon renting a trailer & we've gone back several times each summer!! We love this campground!! Overall, it's a smaller campground- but, the spots we've rented have been more than adequate providing us with enough space to set up our tents & equipment with room leftover. The events are fun, people are great, nice pool, plenty of activities to stay busy & turtle run grill with good food!! (& ice cream!). I Highly, highly recommend this place to everyone!
