Twin Bridge Campground Introduce
Twin Bridge Campground is a premier outdoor destination located in the picturesque rolling farmland of the Cumberland Valley in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. Established in 1969, this family-owned and operated campground has spent over five decades helping families create lasting memories through its unique blend of rural tranquility and engaging recreational activities. The property is characterized by the confluence of two mountain streams—Back Creek and Dennis Creek—which gives the park its name and provides a soothing natural soundtrack for every guest. Whether you are looking for a weekend escape or a seasonal home away from home, the "Kickin’ it by the Creek" philosophy ensures a welcoming, community-focused atmosphere that keeps visitors returning year after year.
The park spans approximately 35 acres of lush Pennsylvania countryside, offering a variety of landscapes that range from shaded wooded meadows to open, grassy fields. For Pennsylvania residents and travelers alike, Twin Bridge Campground represents a revitalized slice of local history. Recent years have seen significant upgrades to the grounds and facilities, restoring the park to its full potential while maintaining the rustic charm that defines traditional camping. It is a place where modern amenities like high-speed Wi-Fi meet the classic joys of hayrides and campfire stories, making it a versatile choice for both the "unplugged" enthusiast and the modern digital nomad.
Strategically located at 1345 Twin Bridge Rd, Chambersburg, PA 17202, the campground is easily accessible for local users and travelers from across the Mid-Atlantic region. This central location in historic Franklin County serves as an excellent home base for exploring nearby regional attractions. Guests are just a short drive away from the hallowed grounds of Gettysburg, the academic hub of Shippensburg, and the shopping and dining districts of Hagerstown, Maryland.
Accessibility is a core value at Twin Bridge Campground. The facility features a wheelchair-accessible entrance and a wheelchair-accessible parking lot to accommodate all guests. The terrain within the park is generally flat and well-maintained, with spacious sites that provide ample room for maneuvering vehicles and equipment. For those traveling with larger rigs, the park offers big-rig-friendly pull-through sites that reach up to 75 feet in length, ensuring that accessibility starts the moment you pull into your designated spot. Despite its country setting, the campground is well-integrated with the local infrastructure, though visitors are advised to check for local low-clearance bridges when planning their specific approach through the historic town areas.

It’s a little off the beaten path, about 6 miles off of the interstate, BUT it’s worth every mile to get here! The sites are spacious, the staff were exceptionally helpful, the price is right! It is so peaceful, yet there’s plenty of fun to be had. My only reservation was that there are no sites with sewer hookup, they have a solution… a honeypot service and a really nice dump station! The dog park was a really nice touch for us, and the playgrounds look like those with kids would have a great time! The bridges over the creek are really nice and make it super easy to access different parts of the campground. Also forgot to add in, they offer delivery of firewood to your site! Don’t just take my word for it GO CHECK IT OUT! You seriously won’t be disappointed!
Staff is always friendly and helpful, and the grounds are always well maintained. It's so refreshing to see kids running and playing, families enjoying nature and spending time together. The upgrades over the last 8 years have been amazing. So nice to see this campground come back to life!!!
The folks at Twin Bridge have a great set up. We were there for a quick overnight - lots of level spots plus a dog park with agility obstacles to let the fur kids stretch their legs. The lady who checked us in also was proactive about recognizing we were only there for one night and suggested we change sites because the one we booked wasn't level. She helped us to pick another site that was level and long enough that we didn't have to unhook. At a few more minutes off of 81 then some other options, but is delightfully quiet and has a beautiful stream running through. We definitely would stay again.
Our family has been camping here 30+years. The new owners have been doing an excellent job upgrading all the sites and adding new ones. Activities are are for the adults and kids. More upgrades are coming in the future. If you go there please make sure to say hi to Pete.. he has worked there for 30+ years too. We have our reservations for 2026. See you wonderful people then.
Place is clean and well organized. They accommodate late check ins. We had some unexpected delays, but staff made simple arrangements for our late arrival. Lots of cool stuff for the kids. Quiet setting. Great spot for an overnight rest or extended stay.
