What is worth choosing Walker Island Family Camping for your next outdoor adventure? The answer lies in the park’s commitment to providing a clean, quiet, and friendly environment that highlights the best of the Berkshires. Many visitors choose this location specifically for the brook-side experience; there is nothing quite like sleeping to the sound of moving water and waking up to a view of the morning mist over the stream. The family-run nature of the park means that there is a personal touch in everything from the upkeep of the pool to the cleanliness of the bathhouses. It is a place where seasonal campers and weekend visitors mingle easily, creating a sense of community that is often missing from larger, corporate-run parks.

Our visit at Walker Island was very comfortable. This family run campground is full of custom stone work and creative details. We stopped in during our travels and they were able to accommodate us and our travel trailer for week stay with no previous notice. The brook was crystal clear, cold and the sound was soothing day and night. The staff - Linda, Sean, Tony and Dan were very friendly, helpful and fun to talk to.The pool was clean and exhilarating. The location was convenient along route 20 and close to KAB trails. We'll be back!

We stayed for three nights with our 2 pups and loved it! Peaceful, quiet, and friendly people. They have beautiful stone work throughout; tables, fire pits, retaining walls. Went on a nice long walk up the hill through the campgrounds and found a disc golf course at the top! Swimming pool and whole grounds are immaculate.

My family and I in the past year have traveled to 27 different states in our RV. We have stayed at so many campgrounds and out of all of them this one is by far our favorite. Linda and the rest of the staff is some of the friendliest people you’ll ever meet and really make you feel like you’re family to them. The campground is absolutely beautiful and very clean. I can’t recommend it enough!

Just cruising historic US HWY 20 when we came across this little campground. Had a great site right on the river. Beautiful fall colors above, and a babbling brook below - what more could you ask for?
