Wanna Ruf It Campground Introduce

For outdoor enthusiasts in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the search for a quiet, authentic camping experience often leads to the scenic landscapes of Columbia County. Wanna Ruf It Campground, located in the charming community of Stillwater, serves as a quintessential example of the rustic, family-oriented hospitality that Pennsylvania is known for. Established in 1988 and currently managed by owners who treat every guest like family, this campground offers a peaceful retreat from the fast-paced modern world. Whether you are a seasoned RVer or a traditional tent camper, the park provides a "backyard campground" feel that prioritizes community, nature, and relaxation.

Stillwater and the surrounding North Mountain region provide a stunning backdrop for any camping excursion. Wanna Ruf It Campground is designed for those who appreciate the simpler side of life—where the main attractions are the crackling of a campfire, the sound of chirping birds, and the opportunity to explore the great outdoors. The park’s philosophy is captured in its name; it is a place for those who want a genuine outdoor experience without the artificiality of massive, commercialized resorts. It serves as an ideal home base for exploring local treasures, from historic covered bridges to world-class hiking trails, making it a favorite for local residents of Northeastern Pennsylvania and beyond.

Location and accessibility are major advantages for visitors choosing Wanna Ruf It Campground. Situated at 113 Pine Road, Stillwater, PA 17878, the campground is nestled in a tranquil area that remains easily reachable for travelers from Williamsport, Scranton, or the Wilkes-Barre region. The facility is designed to be inclusive, featuring a wheelchair-accessible entrance and a wheelchair-accessible parking lot to ensure that all guests can enjoy the natural beauty of the site. Its proximity to major local landmarks, specifically the famous Ricketts Glen State Park and its renowned waterfall hikes, makes it a strategic choice for hikers and nature photographers looking for convenient lodging nearby.

The services offered at Wanna Ruf It Campground are focused on providing a comfortable and functional environment for various types of campers. The management has carefully balanced the need for modern utilities with the desire for a rustic atmosphere. From full hookups for large rigs to primitive spots for those who prefer to keep it simple, the following services are available to enhance your stay:

  • RV electric hookups with options for 20, 30, and 50-amp service to accommodate different camper sizes.
  • Reliable RV water hookups and on-site running water for all guests.
  • Dedicated tent sites for those looking for a primitive, traditional camping experience.

This place was amazing! Friendly community all around. Wanna ruff it is exactly what you get. We stayed at their airbnb for a full-size camper, we had 2 tweens and a 2 yr old for the stay. It was a great experience. We all left happy and wanting to return again in the future. It's a back yard campground with so much to enjoy and explore. The owners are probably the most well rounded and understanding people you could meet. They checked in with us to ask about our stay, and took interest in our whereabouts and family. All around, we had a great experience.

What a great campground. Fellow campers we so nice and introduced themselves to you. Ben and Julie were the absolute the best campground owner we have ever met. So nice and helpful. Made sure we were all taken care of and even hung out with us for little while during our fire Saturday night. Great place to Camp. And close to Ricketts Glen falls hike as well as farmers markets. Will stay again.

What a fun place and dog friendly! We stayed in the tent area, it's mostly an RV campground but does have a small "primitive area" for tenters. We really enjoyed it, bathrooms walking distance away, with showers. Wood for sale and if you need anything at all the owners are amazing and helpful! They want to make sure you have the best experience and they make it happen! We really enjoyed our weekend here!
