What makes Adventures Await Retreat & Meadery/Winery truly worth choosing is the personal touch that only a family-owned business can provide. Many guests return specifically because of the warmth shown by owners Debbie and Chris, and the diligent work of Camp Host Dave. It is a destination that feels authentic; it is a working farm where you can buy fresh eggs in the morning and enjoy a glass of award-winning mead in the evening. The spaciousness of the sites—often described as clean, leveled, and private—provides a level of comfort that is often missing in more commercial, high-density campgrounds. Choosing this Houston gem means choosing a multi-layered vacation where the activities are as varied as the landscape.

Furthermore, the value of having a winery and meadery on the same property as a kid-friendly campground cannot be overstated. It allows adults to enjoy a sophisticated local product while the children are safely engaged with the playground or the farm animals. The year-round availability makes it a versatile choice for a summer swim, a fall haunted trail, or a quiet spring hike. By supporting this local Delaware business, you are opting for an experience that celebrates the heritage of the region while providing modern, high-quality recreational facilities. Whether you are looking for a weekend of high-energy family fun or a tranquil retreat into the woods, Adventures Await proves that you don't have to leave Delaware to find a world-class outdoor experience.

In summary, Adventures Await Retreat & Meadery/Winery represents the best of Delaware’s rural hospitality. It is a clean, peaceful, and amenity-rich environment that welcomes RVers, campers, and day-trippers with open arms. With its unique combination of farm life, craft beverages, and outdoor adventure, it continues to set the standard for what a modern campground can be in the First State. If you are seeking a place where "the check-in is easy and the memories are lasting," look no further than this Houston treasure.

We stayed at Adventure Awaits RV Resort in June 2025. We have a 40ft fifth wheel and dual wheel pickup along with two small dogs. We called Dave as we were coming down the driveway and he was waiting to help us with our site. We had site 28 right across from the winery building. Sites are grass and sand and are pull in. You then unhook and park beside or behind your rig. Good power, water and sewer. Our Boost mobile service was fair and Star Link worked great. We ran our air conditioning almost full time with no issues. The park has a self service building with drinks, snacks and farm fresh eggs (we saw the chicken). Prices were affordable. There was a miscommunication in the number of days we were staying but the overcharge was promptly corrected with no issues. We enjoyed the surrounding area and spent a few days visiting historical sites. If you have a chance, stop at a WayBack Burger shop (there are several in the surrounding communities). My husband had the cheesy burger and said it was great. I had the buffalo chicken strips and they were the best chicken strips I have ever eaten.
