Alpine Lake Campground Introduce
Alpine Lake Campground, also known as Alpine Lake RV Resort, is a sprawling 400-acre destination nestled in the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains. For New Yorkers looking for a getaway that combines the rugged beauty of the North Country with the amenities of a high-end recreation center, this resort serves as an ideal home base. Strategically located between the historic city of Saratoga Springs and the vibrant vacation hub of Lake George, Alpine Lake offers a serene environment centered around two privately stocked lakes: Alpine Lake and Woodland Lake. This setting provides an unequaled opportunity to "get away from it all" while remaining close enough to major attractions to enjoy the best of the region.
The resort is widely recognized for its welcoming atmosphere and its appeal to both seasonal residents and transient travelers. As a member of the Thousand Trails and Encore networks, it adheres to high standards of service and facility maintenance. Visitors often describe the experience as immersive, with frequent sightings of local wildlife that add a touch of magic to the stay. Whether you are navigating a 30-foot RV into a spacious wooded site or relaxing in a luxury park model cabin, the focus at Alpine Lake is on creating a community where memories are made. The staff, including dedicated front-office professionals, are frequently praised for their helpfulness and local knowledge, ensuring a smooth check-in process for every guest.
Location and accessibility are major draws for this Corinth-based retreat. Situated at 78 Heath Rd, Corinth, NY 12822, the campground is easily accessible from Interstate 87 (The Northway). Travelers coming from the south typically use Exit 15 toward Saratoga Springs, while those arriving from the north can take Exit 21 via Lake George. The property is designed with accessibility in mind, featuring wheelchair-accessible entrances, parking lots, and restrooms. Its proximity to Saratoga (approximately 15 miles) and Lake George (approximately 18 miles) means that guests can easily spend a day at the Saratoga Race Course or take a steamboat cruise on the lake before returning to the quiet of the forest by evening.

What is worth choosing at Alpine Lake Campground is the unique "lakefront park model" experience. These rentals offer a "tiny home" feel with the best views on the property, allowing you to enjoy your morning coffee on a private patio overlooking the water. If you are an RV traveler, opting for a site in the mid-200s range—such as site 262—is highly recommended by veteran campers for its spaciousness and proximity to the natural wildlife. These sites provide a sense of seclusion that is rare in larger RV resorts, making you feel as though you are deep in the Adirondack wilderness while still having full hookups at your disposal.
Choosing this location also means choosing a premier Fall foliage experience. The hardwood forests surrounding Corinth turn into a vibrant tapestry of reds and golds in late September and October, and the campground’s position in the foothills provides a front-row seat to this seasonal spectacle. Additionally, for families with children, the "themed weekends" are worth targeting; the resort puts significant effort into activities that engage kids, from scavenger hunts to movie nights, making it a place where children can safely roam and make lifelong friends.
Finally, the convenience factor makes Alpine Lake a superior choice for those who want to "do it all." You can spend one day hiking the nearby Moreau Lake State Park, the next exploring the boutiques of Broadway in Saratoga, and the third riding the coasters at Six Flags Great Escape—all while returning to the same comfortable campfire each night. For New Yorkers who value their vacation time, the ability to access these three distinct experiences from one central, well-maintained location is the ultimate luxury. Whether you are a Thousand Trails member or a first-time visitor, Alpine Lake Campground offers a high-quality, authentic Upstate New York experience that is truly worth the trip.

We are one year into our thousand trails membership and have HATED every single campground we have gone to (especially in Pennsylvania). Alpine Lake is making us reconsider dropping it. We took our 30ft rv to spot 262 and it was spacious, well kept, and gorgeous. The wildlife alone made me feel like a true Disney princess. The staff are warm and welcoming—which made it an easy decision and process when we decided to extend our stay by a week. The overall location is super convenient to lake George, Saratoga springs, and so much more. It is beautiful up here in the Fall especially. One thing to note—they do need stricter rules about golf carts, speed limits, and loud noises. Folks drive around their golf carts and vehicles super fast (with children walking around) and act very privileged about it. Music was blaring so loudly during the day that we couldn’t hear our own rv music. Just basic etiquette is missed by what seem to be the seasonal sites. We didn’t let that ruin our slice of heaven there but hope to see improvements in the future.
I recently had a wonderful experience at Alpine Lake Campground in Corinth, NY, and I can't recommend it enough! From the moment I arrived, Amy in the front office was incredibly helpful and full of valuable information, making the check-in process smooth and enjoyable. The campground itself is beautifully maintained, with stunning views and plenty of activities to keep everyone entertained. Whether you're looking to relax by the lake or explore the surrounding nature, this place has it all. I will definitely be returning for another visit!
We paid for a lake view site which according to the website looked inviting for fishing. This is not the case. (See pictures attached). I was also under the impression according to their strict rules/policies which I read that the sites would be nicely maintained and neat which also wasn’t the case. It was more like a full time mobile home park with most sites full of outside clutter and storage. If you have a fear of spiders or rats do not use the laundry facility ( also photos attached). Overall just poorly maintained.
Absolutely BEAUTIFUL resort! Justin hosts TERRIFIC Activities and it’s GREAT to see Operations Mgr, Gary out and about a lot - very FRIENDLY! Reservation desk is ALWAYS well manned and organized!!
This is a RV resort/ campground, so the questions pertaining to a "hotel" don't apply. It's quiet, we'll kept and very relaxing. It's on a lake and many of the sites are lake facing. My husband and I were here for the Lake George "Americaide" motorcycle week. It was close enough to be a nice, short ride to Lake George but far enough away as to not be in the middle of all the festivities when we were ready for some downtime. Would definitely come back.
