Camp Hudson Pines Introduce

For New Yorkers seeking an escape that feels worlds away yet remains conveniently accessible, Camp Hudson Pines offers a quintessential Adirondack experience. Nestled on 40 pristine acres along the Upper Hudson River in Corinth, this destination is much more than a standard campground. It is a carefully curated retreat that combines the nostalgic charm of vintage camping with the modern comforts of high-end lodging. Whether you are looking to pitch a tent under a canopy of ancient pines, park your RV for a seasonal stay, or relax in a designer "tiny house," Camp Hudson Pines serves as the perfect basecamp for exploring the southern Adirondack region.

The atmosphere at Camp Hudson Pines is one of relaxed sophistication and community. The property is designed to help guests "unplug" and immerse themselves in the natural beauty of the river and forest. From morning coffee on a screened-in cabin porch to evening s'mores around a communal bonfire, the park fosters a sense of belonging that keeps local New York families returning year after year. It provides a unique hybrid of outdoor adventure and comfortable hospitality, catering equally to rugged hikers and those who prefer the amenities of a luxury glamping tent or a fully equipped waterfront house.

Location is a primary draw for Camp Hudson Pines, situated at 5254 State Hwy 9N, Corinth, NY 12822. It occupies a prime spot between the vibrant culture of Saratoga Springs and the recreational hub of Lake George. For residents of the New York City area or the Hudson Valley, the drive is a manageable and scenic journey that transitions from the bustling Thruway to the winding, tree-lined roads of the Adirondack Park. Its placement on the Hudson River provides tranquil, slow-moving waters ideal for swimming and paddling, distinct from the busier, more commercialized lake fronts nearby.

Accessibility and convenience are central to the park's layout. The facility offers a wheelchair-accessible entrance and a dedicated wheelchair-accessible parking lot, ensuring that all guests can enjoy the grounds comfortably. The camp is well-organized with clear signage and on-site parking for both day visitors and overnight guests. Its proximity to Highway 9N makes it easy to find, yet the deep, 40-acre lot ensures that once you are inside the "Blue Line" of the Adirondack Park, the sounds of traffic are replaced by the rustle of leaves and the gentle flow of the river.

Camp Hudson Pines is committed to providing a full suite of onsite services that elevate the traditional camping experience. The management team and hosts, such as Camille, are frequently praised for their attentiveness and hospitality. Available services include:

  • Professional onsite management and a welcoming General Store stocked with essentials, souvenirs, and snacks.
  • Full-service RV camping support, including sites with electrical and sewage hookups.
  • Rental services for kayaks and canoes, allowing guests to explore the river directly from the camp's small boat launch.
  • A modern, brand-new bathhouse featuring five individual private bathrooms, each with its own exterior entrance, shower, and sink.
  • Complimentary high-speed WiFi available in public areas to help guests stay connected while enjoying nature.
  • Seasonal programming including yoga classes, live music at the pavilion, and bingo nights.
  • Flexible payment options, accepting all major credit and debit cards for camping fees and store purchases.

The features of the park are designed to engage all ages, making it a standout choice for family vacations and romantic getaways alike. Highlights of the property include:

  • A diverse range of lodging: choose from vintage waterfront cabins (like the Birch or Willow), modern glamping tents on wooden platforms, or the "Acorn" Nordic-style tiny house.
  • A heated swimming pool open from Memorial Day to Labor Day, providing a controlled environment for cooling off.
  • A grassy waterfront area with roped-off swimming sections in the Hudson River for a natural dip.
  • Kid-friendly amenities including a classic wooden playground and "kid-friendly" hiking trails like the Frog Fern Trail.
  • A dedicated on-site dog park and pet-friendly policies that ensure four-legged friends are welcome.
  • A large community pavilion equipped with a pool table, board games, and lawn games for group fun.
  • Proximity to world-class New York attractions such as the Saratoga Race Track and the Saratoga Performing Arts Center (SPAC).

When deciding where to spend your leisure time in Upstate New York, Camp Hudson Pines is worth choosing for its rare ability to feel both "primitive" and "polished." Many visitors appreciate that they can enjoy the ruggedness of a mountain hike or a river paddle during the day, then return to an immaculate, air-conditioned tiny house or a glamping tent with high-quality linens and electricity at night. This "best of both worlds" approach makes it an ideal choice for those who love the idea of camping but value a good night's sleep on a comfortable bed.

Furthermore, the park’s location serves as a strategic "middle ground." You are close enough to Saratoga Springs to enjoy a morning at the horse races or an evening concert at SPAC, yet far enough away to enjoy the quietude of the Adirondack wilderness. The presence of the river creates a unique recreational focus that differs from the larger lakes, offering a more intimate and peaceful water experience. Whether you are a parent looking for a safe and engaging environment for your children, or a traveler looking for a stylish, Airbnb-vetted "tiny home" experience, Camp Hudson Pines delivers a high-quality, authentic New York retreat that is consistently rated five stars by its guests.

My daughter and I needed a place to stay on the way home from lake placid and we found this place on Airbnb. We stayed in the tiny house. It was immaculate and beautiful and had everything you need right next to the river. Our host Camille was great! We would go back again. 5 stars!

My husband and I tent camped overnight, we wish we could have stayed longer. This place is an awesome little escape! We can't wait to return with our whole family and dog! I am so happy to have found it, we went to SPAC for a concert and loved returning to spend time by our fire. Only 3.5 hours for us, but it is a lovely drive once off the thruway. We will definitely return!

I highly recommend this cabin. We have been going to Lake George area for 9 years and this is the best. I will never book anywhere else again. It's great for kids, they will not be bored. The cabin is amazing and the view is out of this world!! It's quiet and a great location. There is a store, gas station, restaurants within 5 minutes. Lake George and other attractions are 20 minutes away. The owners were very friendly and make you feel right at home. There is a TV and WIFI but we didn't need it as there is plenty to do.

I stayed with my two young children in the airstream for a few nights and it was so comfortable. We loved the proximity to hiking trails by Lake George and enjoyed the heated pool. Being right by the river was so peaceful. The staff were very helpful and accommodating.

We just finished a 1 week tent camping trip at Hudson Pines with a medium size group to see Phish at SPAC. We had a blast! Beautiful, wooded sites on the Pine loop were perfect for our needs and it appeared that most if not all sites had water and electric hookups. We had a group of 3 couples, plus a family of 5 (3 kids under 5) joined us the second half of the week after the concerts were over. This is a great basecamp for day trips to the high peaks, Saratoga Springs, Lake George, or wherever your mood takes you. There is easy access to hikes for all ability levels and kayaking / canoeing on site. When we had the company of our 3 and 5 year old nieces and nephew later in the stay, they really enjoyed the pool and playground. During the concert weekend, the campsite stayed quiet and calm (we're too old to party all night, lol). The biggest disturbance was from a party at one of the seasonal camper's RVs, and that was resolved easily by a quick text to the campground staff - even at 2 in the morning the noise completely ended within 15 minutes of sending the text. All staff were super friendly and helpful, the other campers were great and overall we were left with such a nice impression that my husband and I just booked Labor Day weekend for ourselves. We did not see the inside of the cabins or glamping tents but from the pathway both looked like great options for someone who doesn't want to have to rough it but still wants to be surrounded by nature. We are really looking forward to our next stay, this time with our dogs and lots of hiking.
