Beach Harbor Camper's Co-Op Introduce
For residents of Maryland seeking a genuine escape that captures the essence of the "Land of Pleasant Living," Beach Harbor Camper's Co-Op represents a unique and cherished destination. Located on the picturesque Eastern Shore in Grasonville, this private, gated, and membership-owned cooperative offers a serene retreat along the banks of the Chester River and Jackson Creek. Unlike high-traffic public parks, Beach Harbor is designed as a peaceful "second home" environment where Maryland families can invest in their own slice of waterfront paradise. It caters primarily to those who appreciate a stable, community-oriented atmosphere where neighbors become friends and the rhythms of the Chesapeake Bay dictate the pace of the day.
The cooperative model of Beach Harbor provides a distinct advantage for local users looking for a consistent vacation spot. As a non-profit Maryland Cooperative, the park is governed by its members, ensuring that the facilities and environment are maintained to the high standards of those who use them most. Spanning a landscape dotted with mature pine, oak, and maple trees, the campground provides a lush, shaded canopy that offers relief during the humid Maryland summers. It is a place where nostalgia meets modern convenience, offering the quietude of the woods alongside the excitement of the shore. Whether you are interested in a seasonal site for your RV or looking into one of the permanent units often available for sale, Beach Harbor serves as an ideal base for exploring the rich maritime culture of Queen Anne’s County.
Location and accessibility are among the top reasons Marylanders choose Beach Harbor. Situated at 111 Beach Harbor Road Drive in Grasonville, the campground is just six miles east of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. This prime location makes it incredibly accessible for weekend warriors traveling from Annapolis, Baltimore, or even the D.C. metropolitan area. It provides a quick transition from the bustling traffic of the Western Shore to the tranquil, open vistas of the Eastern Shore. The site is engineered to be inclusive, featuring wheelchair-accessible entrances, dedicated parking lots, and accessible restroom facilities, ensuring that all members of the family can navigate the grounds comfortably. Its proximity to the Kent Narrows means that high-end waterfront dining and local seafood markets are just a few minutes away, providing the perfect balance between camp cooking and professional culinary experiences.

What is worth choosing about Beach Harbor Camper's Co-Op is the sense of stability and ownership it provides. In a world of transient vacation rentals, this cooperative offers a permanent "anchor" on the Eastern Shore. It is worth choosing if you value a quiet, secure environment where children can play outside freely and where the community looks out for one another. The three-season operational window—from mid-March through November—perfectly aligns with Maryland’s best weather, allowing you to witness the blooming of spring and the stunning fall foliage over the water. The skilled maintenance and professional management mentioned by long-term residents ensure that your "second home" remains a place of relaxation rather than a source of work.
Furthermore, the cooperative is an excellent choice for boaters and water sports enthusiasts. With private ramps and protected waters in the creek, it is a dream location for kayaking, paddleboarding, and powerboating. The ability to keep your boat on-site and launch it at a moment's notice is a significant perk that many other campgrounds in the region cannot match. Whether you are a retired couple looking for a peaceful seasonal home or a young family wanting to build traditions on the Chester River, Beach Harbor provides the infrastructure, safety, and natural beauty to make every weekend feel like a true getaway.
Ultimately, Beach Harbor Camper's Co-Op is a hidden gem that remains "much more quiet than you would think." It represents a successful marriage of private investment and community spirit. For Marylanders who want to bypass the crowded resorts of Ocean City and instead find a tranquil, waterfront sanctuary closer to home, this Grasonville cooperative is a premier choice that truly earns its reputation as a "little oasis."

It's very, very cool. Much more quiet than you would think.there is a good infrastructure in park , excellent management and highly skilled maintenance personnel.
Miss this place. Used to always go to my aunt an uncle & grandparents trailers they had there for years when I was a kid about 25 years ago. Wish I went there more with them all. It was always a great time and good people. ❤
Everyone is so friendly. So much fun things to do. Fish. Swim. And so much for family to do. Great place. I love it here.
My wife and I bought into to beach harbor co-op and we were so excited but the we found out that the infrastructure of the park was neglected and what seemed to be a dream retirement property turned into a money pit. The seawall needed replaced and that was going to be 2 million next is going to be the water supply which the board said would be another million. We were not told of this when we bought into beach Harbor. We couldn't afford to stay so we sold. The president explained everything to the new owners and they still decided to buy our share. FEMA and the county also has issues with the park. My advice is if your going to buy into any Co-Op do your homework. I would advise asking for meeting minutes to see what has been discussed 6 months prior to your decision. Still a great place to rent a lot and not deal with the politics.
