What is worth choosing about Beacon Hill Camping is the sheer quality of the environment and the intentionality of the guest experience. For many Pennsylvania residents, Lancaster County can sometimes feel overly commercialized, but Beacon Hill remains a sanctuary of quietude. The meticulous maintenance of the grounds and the "spotless" reputation of the restrooms provide a level of comfort that sets this campground apart from its competitors. You aren't just renting a space; you are gaining access to a curated atmosphere where your peace and quiet are prioritized above all else.
The versatility of the accommodations also makes it worth choosing. If you have friends or family who don't own an RV, they can still join the trip by booking one of the clean, air-conditioned log cabins or the charming cottage. This allows for a shared experience without the need for everyone to own specialized equipment. Furthermore, the upgraded Wi-Fi is a significant benefit for "digital nomads" or those who want to stay connected while tucked away in a rural setting. Choosing Beacon Hill means choosing a local business that understands the value of hospitality and the unique magic of the Pennsylvania Dutch countryside.
Ultimately, the reason guests return year after year is the feeling of being welcomed into a close-knit community. The owners take pride in their property, and it shows in every detail—from the level sites to the well-tended dog park. Whether you are spending your days shopping for handmade quilts in Intercourse or simply sitting by your fire ring watching the sunset over the farm next door, Beacon Hill provides the perfect backdrop. For a clean, quiet, and authentic Pennsylvania camping experience, there truly is no better choice in the region.

No campground in Lancaster County PA comes even close to what Beacon Hill has to offer. A quiet setting, clean sites & facilities, a friendly staff, and Amish buggies passing by on a daily basis. We vacation at Beacon Hill a few weeks out of the year, and we are already anticipating our 2026 stays. We highly recommend this campground!!
We have camped at Beacon Hill every August for about 10 years. It’s clean, friendly and peaceful. Don’t miss their August chicken barbecue. It’s put on by Krista and Jake and everyone brings something to share. You will meet many of the Amish neighbors there. See you in Aug. 2026
Beacon Hill is the BEST! We've been staying at this campground for many years & LOVE it!! Great Owners & the restrooms are so clean. Did I mention it's in the BEST Location as well. So many nice people staying there as well.
This was our third time staying here and we will definitely be back! Small, quiet, campground. Lovely owner and camp hosts. Everything is immaculately clean, and the laundry machines actually work! Full dryer load that didn't need to be turned on a 2nd and 3rd time - that hasn't happened in a couple of years at other campgrounds! :) Met some nice seasonal campers, too!
