Customer Reviews
A great camp site. Rustic latrine toilets keep it feeling really genuine. The responsible troop keeps the buildings very well maintained. The tent camping area has a lot of good campsites to choose from.
Lots of great history lies here. Many Boy Scouts were impacted by this place. Scouting skills and the BSA's mission builds strong leaders etc.
Very nice camp for groups like scout troops. Very well insulated and propane heated cabin with 30 beds, including about 12 sectioned in another room for another gender or leaders.Dining hall with stocked kitchen and professional stove, two refrigerators, wood stove, plenty of seating and can be over for overflow sleeping quarters for adults. Hot and cold water indoors make this a great place to bring your troop.Latrines are about what you'd expect. Bring your own TP.Plenty of parking and a beautiful area for lots of tents. Look out for the red gates and come in either direction depending on how much pavement you prefer.
Google Maps location needs updating, navigation stops before the road to the site. Look for the red metal gates on the left of Boy Scout Road, around the curve after the navigation ends, road leads uphill.Excellent campsite otherwise.
My uncle Harvey Zerbe was a scout master of the troop that used the camp. Had some good times there growing up.
