What makes Canyon Country Campground & Glamping worth choosing is its uncompromising commitment to quality. While many campgrounds offer proximity to nature, few manage to pair it with the level of luxury and cleanliness found here. The A-frame cabins, in particular, have been compared by guests to five-star hotels, featuring brand-new modern amenities and plush bedding that make "roughing it" a thing of the past. It is the perfect choice for someone who wants the breathtaking views of the Pine Creek Gorge but doesn't want to sacrifice a comfortable night's sleep or a hot, high-pressure shower.
Furthermore, the hospitality of the staff sets this location apart. Whether they are helping a group of friends coordinate their stays or ensuring that firewood is readily available for a late-night campfire, the service is consistently described as exceptional. When you choose Canyon Country, you aren't just renting a patch of grass or a room; you are gaining direct, private access to one of the most beautiful natural wonders in the Eastern United States. For the ultimate blend of adventure, seclusion, and community in the heart of Pennsylvania, this campground is a standout choice that many visitors find themselves booking year after year.

Our stay at Canyon Country Campground & Glamping was absolutely wonderful from the start to finish. We stayed in one of the large A-Frame Cabins and it was amazing! The cabins and clubhouse/ game room areas were spotless, beautifully maintained and very thoughtfully decorated- the well chosen furnishings, bedding, and all other accessories were chosen to feel luxurious, yet close to nature. The A -Frame cabin was so comfortable and cozy with all brand new , modern amenities- felt like a boutique hotel! The outdoor area was also beautiful! Everything that we needed to build cozy fires in the fire pits was readily available. Several of our friends also rented cabins the same weekend and the staff was extremely accommodating, providing cabins in the same area and providing plenty of chairs, etc , for us to gather together around the fire and for meals. The staff was exceptional! Everyone we interacted with went above and beyond to meet any needs that we had and was warm, attentive and eager to make our stay wonderful! Had a wonderful experience here with my husband and a group of dear friends. From the moment we arrived, we were deeply impressed by the clean & comprehensive cabins. We stayed in the A- frame cabin which was comparable to a 5 star hotel! The views were breathtaking with the hikes being extremely accessible to where we were staying. The amenities, clubhouses & sauna were beautiful. The perfect mix of seclusion & community, not too far from home. Highly recommend for all types of groups & families, and am looking forward to coming back.
We had a great time camping at Canyon Country Campground & Glamping. Our camper van was originally booked for a tent site. We didn't love the space when we pulled in and the office was helpful finding us a new spot in the wooded area. Playground was fun for our daughter, and the bathrooms were very clean. A lot of wildlife and peaceful surroundings. Right down the road from the State Park and 15 minute drive from Wellsoboro.
We had a wonderful stay in one of the A frame cabins at Canyon Country Campground and will definitely be back in the future! The grounds are well maintained and the staff are super friendly and accommodating. We got some awesome recommendations for sights to see and restaurants to try in the nearby town of Wellsboro. Our cabin was small but mighty! The cabins were clean, updated, and provided every necessity you’d need for your stay. There’s a short hike from the campground to the Leonard Harrison State Park visitor center, which you can also access by car. The park is well maintained and has some great trails for views of the Gorge. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and I will be back with friends and family in the future.
This is our second year staying at Canyon Country Campground. The property is gorgeous! There is a trail that takes you right to the tower with a gorgeous view of the mountains. The facilities are very clean and Scott in the office with his dog Daisy are both very welcoming and kind. it is a short drive into the beautiful town of Wellsboro. This is a secluded gem of a place!!
